Like the fast style deejays of the early to mid eighties, this style of deejaying is non stop – except it’s not that fast. Still the same principle applies lots of lyrics in a non stop style. The problem with it, is that you need to an highly individual style to deliver it. At the moment all the styles seem to be used up, which means a lot of deejays end up sounding like other deejays. And no matter how good the production is, and the production here from Anthony Redrose is very good, you can’t get help thinking that lyrically you have heard it all before. However some tracks like ‘1/4 To 12’ and ‘Good Gal’ and ‘Rock On’ with Spanner Banner do hit home. All Simpleton needs is a bit style
