Johnny 'Dizzy' Moore – Something Special
Another great trumpeter going way back to the days of ska. And yet it was around the early seventies that Dizzy first an impact with 'Riot' produced by Keith Hudson.
This ten track set does not contain anything like 'Riot' or even anything like 'Lonely Reggae' which he did for D.Anderson .
But its still a nice selection of well known reggae instrumentals given that 'Dizzy' touch.
'Rock Fort Rock', 'Swing Easy' and 'Exodus' are all featured in the line up.
And have that fairly minimal sound that came up in the nineties.
It would have been nice if more producers then took up the idea of going back to instrumentals but it didn't happen.
Yet it was a sound that made it very easy for musicians like Dizzy to work with.
A great work.
