Sir Collins - Selection

Sir Collins or Clancy Collins worked in the UK and in Jamaica, as a producer, musician and vocalist.

He was an early pioneer of the versioning as well. With many many cuts of rhythms that he produced and with rhythms that he had traded with other producers like Bunny Lee.

Over the years he worked with all the greats.

Owen Gray, Alton Ellis, Delroy Wilson and many many more.

His works came out on his own label Sir Collins

Or Music Wheel, but he also had music released

Through Trojan on labels like Smash and Big Shot.

Tropical Records also released his music on the Ackee label.

Currently there are a couple of Cds that contain some of these tunes - but in order to make some sense of the vast amount of music the man as produced over the years - you would probably need a box set!!

His production had something from Jamaica and the UK in the mix. While other UK based producers were looking for something else.

Clancy successfully blended the two time and time again.
