The current mixed down sound of Jamaica - can in fact be traced back
to the UK and the MC revolution that took place in the UK from about
83 to about 85. But what really caught the attention - was the
hi-speed deejaying of people like Papa Levi, Tippa Irie both of whom
are featured on this live set recorded at the peak of this era in
November 1984. Saxon Sound International started by Muscle Head and
run by Dennis Rowe had more talent in and around it - than probably
any sound in the world at that time. The digital revolution that swept
out of Jamaica in 1985 kind of over shadowed what had happened in the
UK - but it was a tremendous event in reggae music and changed it
forever.
