Dub Syndicate
Dub Syndicate - No Bed Of Roses
The heavy duty Roots Radics sounded lasted some 5 years from 1979 to
1984, its coming up to twenty years since the end of that era. Dub
Syndicate featuring Style Scott on drums have now lasted longer than
the Roots Radics. The vibe of The Dub Syndicate as always been about
experimental dub. These 12 tracks maintain that tradition. Except on
this time, we have a number of guest vocalists, Gregory Isaacs,
Cornell Campbell included. With the recording done in Jamaica with
people like Chinna Smith, Steely, and Paul Crossdale - its got much
more a real reggae sound - although the mixing in London pulls it back
from that. The London connection gives it a rock edge.
