Marked For Death - Director Dwight H.Little - Starring Steven Seagal
Hollywood and Reggae music is not a natural mix. Very much like major record labels and reggae music. But every now and again - it works. This film is one of those moments.
Steven Seagal plays a DEA agent (John Hatcher) who becomes fed up with fighting a losing battle against drugs. So he returns home - only to find that the problems he encountered in other countries now exist in small-town America or the suburbs.
He quickly runs into a posse. Led by Screwface (Basil Wallace) at first John is not interested or getting involved. That changes when the Posse attacks his sister. Putting his young niece into the hospital.
He then goes on the attack - the fight scenes are amazing - Seagal moves naturally and with power - but the Posse is always one step ahead of him. Featured in the film are two great songs from Jimmy Cliff - 'John Crow' was even co-written with Steven Seagal. Of course, the ex-DEA wins in the end - but Screwface and the Posse give him a good run for the money. You trouble Screwface - Screwface a go trouble you!
