Larry Marshall – I Admire You – Java – 1986
Another superb singer/songwriter is Larry Marshall. This self-produced set originally came out on Larry's Amanda label in 1975. And on it you will find Larry's hits like the great 'I Admire You' and 'Can't You Understand'. As well as beautiful works like 'Shirley' 'Thelma', 'Captivity' and 'You Lied', just to name a few. Over the years Larry's vocal style style could be described as big and friendly, has gone out of style. However times change and it can only be a matter of time before Larry's style styles rules again.
Larry Marshall – Presenting – Studio One – 1973/1986
!984 was a very sucessful one for Larry Marshall. The Gussie produced 'Throw Me Corn' recut took him and Alvin back into the reggae charts, an event that was long overdue as Larry is one of reggae's music's greatest talents. He is a singer/songwrither who has been going for years/ 'Presenting Larry Marshall' is a Studio One set that brings together great songs like 'Mean Girl' 'Nanny Goat' 'Thelma' and 'Throw Me Corn'. With a beautiful new sleeve, this album should introduce Larry to a larger audience.
