Gilly Dread at Ikus Music had high hopes for Colonel Lloydie back in the late eighties. And the results on this his debut album are very impressive. He's got a real style and doesn't sound like anyone – always a good sign.

Equally the rhythms built by Gilly Dread are very diverse – re-cuts of the big rhythms but done in a different style – its possible that Wire built these rhythms or played keyboards on them – they sound like nothing else and are the better for it. Not much as been heard from Lloydie since then – but he's a great DJ and this is a great set."
