Charley Organaire - Selection
With nearly thirty tunes spread over more ten years - 62-72 Charley as got more than enough tunes for a selection. But its not going to happen in the near future.
To his credit he did put out a CD – but it was all new material recorded in the US.
What people want from Charley is to hear him sing or play his harmonica – in the fashion of his hits of the past. Tunes like 'Little Village' or 'Do All The Good You Can'.
The man can sing! A great voice. Or hear him playing his harmonica in the style of 'Royal Charley'' or 'Red Sea'
'Little Village' was released on 'Organaires' Charley's own label. He also did a portion of work with Willy Francis – another great singe and producer.
Charley also was a member of Prince Buster's band and can be heard on many of Buster's productions.
His harmonica technique was something that gave a real flavour to the countless ska tunes that he played on. Its also different enough from his main rival back in those days – Roy Richards.
Now based in Chigaco – of all the places in the U.S,!!!
Charley though can get those Blues cats jumping to the ska beat – like no one else.
