Chantells - Collection - Phase One

Roy Francis's Phase One label was one of the most interesting labels

of the Rockers era of reggae music. Of the artists he worked with at

the time, the vocal group The Chantells brought him the most success.

They had a huge hit with 'Waiting In The Park', while other tunes like

'Man In Love' and 'Children Of Jah' were also very popular. These

three plus seven others make up this very interesting set. Roy's

production style came very close to Joe Gibbs's sound, yet still had

more than enough originality in it.
