Buccaneer – Classic – Greensleeves - 1997 By the time this set had came out – Buccaneer had move onto to gimmicks – and the truth is that this is not a bad album. But the problems with gimmicks is that people quickly get fed up with them. What you have here is a move into the operatic style!!! Hence some of the titles. 'Bad Man Sonata' is probably the best of the bunch – but outside of these tunes – there are still some great work. 'Good Director' is an excellent tune – its everything a DJ tune should be – a great rhythm rode with great style."
"Buccaneer – There Goes The Neighbourhood – Main Street - 1994
As the early nineties moved onto the mid- nineties – the deejays who were having some success people like Buju Banton were quickly joined by deejays who sounded like them thus was the case of Buccaneer – except here was a deejays with some great lyrics. The title track is a real message – but its not a negative one. Its in fact one of the most positive statements of life in the ghetto – heard for a long time from any deejay. In the same that Bob Andy once sang about the ghetto stays in the mind – this is a story of how the ghetto could be. A positive reality check."
