"BDF – Roots Melodies - BDF
Inyaki the man from Spain – is a multi talented musical youth – who can play Melodica, all kinds of Keyboards, and bass and drum.
On this set he's main interest is the sound of the late seventies – the Rockers era. With a small nod to what came next within that era
– 'Steppers'.Tunes like 'Created By The Father' from Dennis Brown get shaped and reshaped by Inyaki. Who likes to seek out the hidden melodies that are contained within such tunes. The sub-concious riffs and hooks. That stay with you long after you have forgotten the name of the tune.
Another favourite on this magnificent album is Inyaki's cut to Freddie McGregor's 'I'm A Revolutionist'. It would be very easy for Inyaki to recut these tunes note for note – but that is not his intention.
He likes to dig deep into a rhythm – pulling out all kinds of minor and major melodies! Its such a shame that more talented instrumentalist like Inyaki do not try out the same concept. Going over and over middle of the road melodies in this time – does not really make sense.
And in truth its not necessary when you have so many great melodies within reggae music itself. They might not be as well known as the big hits of the past, but they are just as good!"

Inaki Yarritu is a multi talented keyboard player, over the years he's
worked hard at bringing some of reggae top artists to Spain for
concerts promoted by Massive Promociones. Inspired by this he began
working on a dub album with some of the visiting bands. When he came
to London he continued to work on the project, and the result is the
