Count Matchuki
Winston Cooper aka Count Matchuki, started out as a selector for Tom The Great Sebastion in 1950. By 1956, he was selecting and deejaying on Sir Coxsone.
By the last sixties, he started to make some tunes, three for Joe Gibbs, ‘Matchuki Cooking’, Movements, and Ital I.
He also recorded three tunes for Vincent Chin. Pepper Pot, Stick It Up and Warfare. Plus one tune for R.Martin -’Wanted Bad’
Much later in the nineties. Coxsone took Matchuki into Studio One and recorded two albums. Which sadly have never been released.
