Horace Ferguson -Sensi Addict -Ujama -1987
Although Jazzbo's a relative newcomer to the production scene, in the time he's been producing he's made some great records and has had a portion of success, which started with Horace Ferguson's 'Sensi Addict'. Now that single has become a fantastic album of ten tracks, eight of which are computerised. Only Jazzbo get a very different sound. At Creative Sound in Kingston owned and operated by Paul Davidson he's laid down a rawer sound for Horace, who sings like Horace Andy. He then gives some great songs over a wide range of topics. A tremendous LP.
Horace Ferguson -Leave Babylon -Ujama -1988
In order to maintain his challenge to Jammy. Prince Jazzbo needed to match Jammy's release schedule and he's done it. The release of Horace Ferguson's 2nd LP 'Leave Babylon' has a problem though, with the use of 4 tracks from 'Sensi Addict'. That aside the remaining 5 tracks still make this an LP worth checking out. 'Leave Babylon' and 'Oh Lord' are probably the best two new tracks. Jazzbo's use of slower digital rhythms being outstanding. Although 'Do Not Touch The General' could have been included to make it more worthwhile.
