Jah Shaka – The Disciples – Jah Shaka

Another sound system/studio band is The Disciples. Last year Jah Shaka relesed their debut album – Chapter 6 'Deliverance'. It was very much in the Wackies style. This new LP finds them working in the more traditional Pablo/Shaka style. Which is very complex – rhythmically and melodically. And they handle it very well. Listen out for some wonderful reggae picking guitar work on the album. You could could be listening to a Pablo tune from the late 70's. Yet like Sound Iration there is much innovation to be found on the LP. A magnificent work.
