suddenly brought a lot of women singers into the business. Which is good. However it wasn't long before a certain formula started to emerge - 'Love Songs' 'Love Songs' and even more 'Long Songs'. The was the late seventies - by the time we got into the eighties - it seemed that women singers were finally able to sing about more subjects again. One of the first to do so was Annette Brissette - and Lloyd Barnes at the Wackies studio in NYC was at the controls. This meant that the rhythms were going to be tough. In fact there are some classic rhythms on this set - from the Wackies vault. And Annette does them all great justice. She's got a very nice voice.
