Meditations - No More Friend - Greensleeves

Linval Thompson with his producer hat on, is responsible for some

classic vocal groups sets, from the ultra rare Mystic Eyes album that

came on Burning Sounds to the Viceroys albums on Trojan which said

company never got around to re-releasing! to this magnificent set from

the Meditations. Which ranks alongside the Wackies work as there best

work. There best album would probably have been the Lee Perry produced

album that Island are still sitting on - but that's another story. 'No

More Friend' brings together tracks like 'Carpenter Rebuild' a great

message song that was very popular on 12", and is thankfully included

here!. Other great tracks include the title track. While 'Book Of

History is truly magnificent one of the best reality/cultural tunes

ever!!!
