Warrior King - Hold The Faith - VP
After a promising debut , we now get this magnificent set from the
King, Warrior King that is. An album that build and builds upon on the
goodness found on that debut. Great songs, great singing and some
excellent production. Its very easy to make mistakes with these kind
of cultural albums, with the message becoming more important than the
rhythm, but Warrior King and the producers keep this album firmly on
track. From some reason, the singer and reminds me of Fredlocks, even
though he doesn't sound anything like him. Perhaps its also the fact
that artists like Fredlocks only give us an album from to time - there
is no rush - what is important is the quality of the set. This kind of
reggae music will last forever. Its from time, but its timeless.
