1 tablespoon sesame oil
3 cloves garlic, minced

¼ cup (60ml) soy sauce
¼ cup (50g) brown sugar
1 tablespoon (15ml) rice vinegar
1 tablespoon (15g) gochujang (Korean red chili paste)
1 teaspoon (5g) freshly grated ginger
¼ teaspoon black pepper
¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
2 cups cooked white rice
2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds (for garnish)
Steamed or sautéed vegetables (optional): bell peppers, carrots, broccoli
