Fluffy Chocolate Chip Banana Bread is the ultimate comfort treat—soft, sweet, and full of gooey chocolate chips. Ripe bananas provide natural sweetness and moisture, while melted butter, just the right amount of flour, and careful mixing keep it perfectly fluffy. Whether served with coffee for breakfast or enjoyed as a cozy snack, this banana bread brings warmth and nostalgia in every bite. It’s easy to make and sure to become a favorite in your baking rotation.
3 very ripe bananas, mashed
½ cup unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled
½ cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1½ cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
¼ tsp salt
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preheat Oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and lightly flour a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
Mash Bananas: In a large mixing bowl, mash the bananas until mostly smooth, with a few small lumps.
Add Wet Ingredients: Stir in the melted butter. Then add the sugar, egg, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
Mix Dry Ingredients Separately: In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
Combine Wet & Dry: Gently fold the dry mixture into the wet ingredients. Do not overmix—stir only until no flour streaks remain.
Add Chocolate Chips: Fold in the chocolate chips evenly.
Bake: Pour batter into prepared loaf pan. Bake for 50–65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Cool: Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
