Ingredients
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup chicken broth
1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening sauce)
Directions
Preparation: Season the chicken breasts with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Sautéing: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add seasoned chicken breasts and cook until browned on both sides and cooked through, about 6-7 minutes per side. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
Cooking Green Beans: In the same skillet, add green beans and sauté for 3-4 minutes until they begin to soften.
Combining: Pour chicken broth into the skillet with green beans. Bring to a simmer.
Simmering: Return chicken breasts to the skillet. Simmer for another 5 minutes until the sauce slightly thickens and the green beans are tender.
Optional Thickening: If desired, mix cornstarch with a tablespoon of water to create a slurry. Stir into the skillet and cook for an additional 2 minutes to thicken the sauce.
Serving: Serve chicken breasts and green beans hot, with sauce spooned over the top.
