Watch Dates: Mount Sinai Part 2

12 June 2011

By Mark Farquharson

Before reading this entry you should have read yesterdays entry titled: “Watch Dates: True Feast of Weeks and Mount Sinai.” This entry follows on from that entry.

From the last entry, Jubilees 1:1 tells us when the forty day count starts, which it says was on the 16 of the month. They actually arrived three days earlier, as explained in Exodus 19. However in Exodus 19 it only tells us that they arrived in the third month, the actual day is not given. But there is enough way of trying to work it out.

Exodus 16:1-2 They journeyed from Elim; and the whole congregation of the sons of Israel entered into the wilderness of Sin, which is between Elim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second month after their going forth from the land of Egypt. Then the whole congregation of the sons of Israel grumbled against Moses and against Aaron in the wilderness; {CLV}

On the fifteenth day of the second month is when they grumbled against Moses and against Aaron.

Exodus 16:4-5 Then Yahweh said to Moses: Behold Me causing bread from the heavens to rain for you. When the people will go forth they will pick up a day's matter in its day, that I may probe them, whether they shall go by My law or not. And it will come to be on the sixth day when they prepare what they are bringing in that there will come to be a duplicate amount over that which they are picking up day by day. {CLV}

The bread was to come six days, and on the sixth day a double amount.

Exodus 16:22-23 Now it came to be on the sixth day they picked up a duplicate amount of bread, two omers for one. When all the princes of the congregation came and told it to Moses, then he said to them: This is what Yahweh has spoken, A cessation, a holy sabbath to Yahweh is tomorrow…..{CLV}

Thus the seventh day was the weekly Sabbath. This is when they started to observe the weekly Sabbath. This first Sabbath that was observed by them, would have been on the 22 of the second month. However Sabbaths started on the seven day of the first week that was created. They did not know about the Sabbath until this time, and thus were not observing it.

Going forward, another seven days, you have the next Sabbath on the 29th of the second month. When then is the next one? It depends if there was 29 or 30 days in the second month. Using 29 days you get the 5th of the third month, using 30 days you get the sixth of the third month.

Jubilees 1:1. And it came to pass in the first year of the exodus of the children of Israel out of Egypt, in the third month, on the sixteenth day of the month, that God spake to Moses, saying: "Come up to Me on the Mount, and I will give thee two tables of stone of the law and of the commandment, which I have written, that thou mayst teach them." {translated by R. H. Charles 1917}

Exodus 24:12 Yahweh said to Moses: Ascend to Me to the mountain and be there, and I shall give to you the stone tablets, the law and the instructions which I wrote to direct them. " {CLV}

The two are the same event, with the giving of the two tablets.

Exodus 24:15-18 When Moses ascended to the mountain, the cloud covered the mountain, and the glory of Yahweh tabernacled over Mount Sinai. Now the appearance of the glory of Yahweh was as a devouring fire on the summit of the mountain, to the eyes of the sons of Israel. So Moses entered into the midst of the cloud and ascended into the mountain. Moses came to be on the mountain forty days and forty nights. {CLV}

Using Jubilees 1:1 and comparing it to Exodus 24:12-18 it tells us that Moses started the forty days on the 16th of the month. He brought down the tablets at the time of Pentecost, which is a fifty day count. You have forty of the fifty days. That means ten days earlier would have been the end of the seventh sabbath count of the feast of weeks.

As I explained yesterday Pentecost and the feast of weeks are different feasts, they are not the same feast. The Feast of Weeks is a seven sabbath count from wave-sheaf, while the fifty day Pentecost count starts straight after the seventh sabbath of the count to the feast of weeks. Thus they are 50 days apart.

Ten days earlier from the 16th gets you the sixth of the month, thus making the second month thirty days. You see it agrees, but is this the seventh sabbath from when wave-sheaf would have been, if it was observed? They had not observed wave-sheaf, because they did not know about it, and that they were in the wilderness, thus they had no firstfruits.

Going back, from the seventh sabbath this is what we have so far:

6th of the third month, seventh Sabbath in the count.

29 of the second month, sixth sabbath

22 of the second month, fifth sabbath.

However we can go back before they observed the sabbath, for sabbaths started in the first created week. Thus the 15th of the second month was a sabbath, that they did not observe. This is know what we get:

15th of the second month, fourth sabbath

8 of the second month, third sabbath.

1 of the second month, second sabbath.

Now we hit a bit of a problem, for again how many days were there in the first month? Using 30 days you get the first sabbath on the 24 of the first month, using 29 days you get the first sabbath on the 23 of the first month.

Using 24 of the month you can go back another sabbath and you get the 17th of the month. This is a problem in the count. Remember from yesterdays entry, wave-sheaf is always on the 16th of the first month, unless the 16th is a sabbath. For if it is a sabbath you can not do wave-sheaf, because that is a work to get the firstfruit of the field. It falls on the day after the first special sabbath of Unleavened Bread which always started on the 15th of the month. With the 17th a sabbath, you would start you count there, as the first sabbath, meaning we would be a week out. The seven sabbaths would get you to the 29th of the second month. For you are counting seven Sabbaths, not 49 days.

However if you count back form the 23 of the first month you get a sabbath on the 16th, that is the sabbath falls on the day that would be wave-sheaf. Since the sabbath is a rest day you can not get the firstfruit of the field, and thus can not perform it. Thus wave-sheaf would be on the 17th and you the first sabbath in your seven sabbath count would have been on the 23 of the first month. This then agrees with Jubilees, but that is assuming Jubilees is correct.

Assuming that what I got on the third of June is a sign and I understood it correctly, then the 6 of June this year was also the seventh sabbath in the seven sabbath count, bring us to the feast of weeks. That is Monday is the weekly sabbath as I explained in yesterdays entry.

Provision Starts at the start of the forty days?

Remember from yesterday our watch dates are when thy arrived at the mount, 13th of the third month, which is also the 13th of June. The third day after they arrived, for Moses went up and came back down, that is the 15th. And the start of the forty day count the 16th, which also corresponds to the 16th of June. Then Moses had to wait six days while he was up the mount, for on the seven day Yahweh called, which brings you to the 22nd of the month.

I say the forty day start could be the start of the provision because Yahweh has to provide for him while he was up the mount. For it does not say Yahweh told him to bring food for forty days, or that he would be up there forty days.

The provision in 2 Kings 4, the ninth sign, is a barley firstfruit provision, this links it to wave-sheaf, which is in the first Hebrew month. However wave-sheaf and unleavened bread can be observed in the second month. We are to watch this month because in 2 Chronicles 30, the provision started in the third month.

There was a indication on the 10th of June, the number 50, and the number 60, which is ten difference, thus 10 from 50th is forty, and the indication was on the tenth, a double witness? If this was an indication.

Open Door Ministry Starts this Year?

I do still believe it will start this year. For instance the dream I had, about the numbers 8 and 4. Like this 8-8-8-8-4, which of course makes 36, and on 28 April this year I turned 36. Twice before I was 36, earlier in the year, I said to people I was 36. Indicating something to happen when I am 36.

Dr Jones in a weblog stated that the time of Elijah had ended. We are waiting for the time of Elisha to start, which was straight after the time of Elijah. There have been eight signs which ended last year, and the provision will mark the beginning of the next set of signs. I do think waiting until next year will mark a gap that is too long between Elijah and Elisha.

The power problem at where I live is getting worse, possible indicating something will happen soon?
