Part 23 But What about Satan, Demons & Other Spirit Forces?

Most Christian Universalises focus on the point that all humans will be saved, which is most important, but there are other questions, which some Christian Universalises cover usually in brief.

Does Satan, demons and other spirit forces exist?

Adversary, Satan does exist and is mention in the Bible a number of times.

Ephesians 6:11-12 Put on the panoply of God, to enable you to stand up to the stratagems of the Adversary, for it is not ours to wrestle with blood and flesh, but with the sovereignties, with the authorities, with the world-mights of this darkness, with the spiritual forces of wickedness among the celestials. {CLV}

The verses above also point out the fact that there are other spiritual forces that are wicked.

Matthew 8:28-29 And He coming to the other side, into the country of the Gergesenes, two demon-possessed ones met Him, coming out of the tombs,.....And, behold! They cried out, saying, What is to us and to You, Jesus, Son of God? Have You come here beforetime to torment us? {LITV}

Matthew 8:31 And the demons begged Him, saying, If You cast us out, allow us to go away into the herd of pigs. {LITV}

These two were not insane, they were actually possessed by demons. There is a time in the future that the demons know about, where they will be torment. Jesus cast the demons out of the two that were possessed.

Will Demons/fallen angels be Saved? YES:

Jude 6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.

Here you can see some angels are kept in chains unto the day of judgement.

Matthew 25:41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

But lets look at the YLT translation

Matthew 25:41 Then shall he say also to those on the left hand, Go ye from me, the cursed, to the fire, the age-during, that hath been prepared for the Devil and his messengers;

Here we see more correctly that the fire lasts an age, as I already explained. Here the unbelievers go into the fire. I have explain what happens to unbelievers already. Notice the fire had been prepared for the Devil and his angels, so we see they are going to go into the same fire for a period of time. That’s right even the Devil goes through divine purification, and is saved.

Revelation 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone,

Here we see that the devil is cast into the Lake of Fire.

Thrones, or lordships, or sovereignties, or authorities:

Colossians 1:15-17 Who is the Image of the invisible God, Firstborn of every creature, for in Him is all created, that in the heavens and that on the earth, the visible and the invisible, whether thrones, or lordships, or sovereignties, or authorities, all is created through Him and for Him, and He is before all, and all has its cohesion in Him." {CLV}

Thrones, or lordships, or sovereignties, or authorities are all created in Christ and for Christ and these will have cohesion in Him. These are not on the earth, they are invisible to us, for they are in the spiritual realm. These are the ones we wrestle with in Ephesians 6:11-12.

We are not to wrestle with blood and flesh, that is other human beings. For we wrestle with the sovereignties, with the authorities that are the spiritual forces among the celestials. These spiritual forces of wickedness will all be reconcile to him.

Colossians 1:20 and through Him to reconcile all to Him (making peace through the blood of His cross), through Him, whether those on the earth or those in the heavens."{CLV}

For it is not just all those on the earth, but also all those in the heavens, that is the spiritual forces.

This should be enough to show that demons and other spiritual forces are saved.
