How Many Resurrections Part 1

Version 7

By Mark Farquharson

This is an area of great confusion, that I hope to clear up in this article. There are many different views on this, which usually depends on ones views of the end times and death.

There is more than one form of resurrection refer to in the bible, the first form which will be studied in this article is the resurrection of the body, but it is not the only form of resurrection. The second form of resurrection is spiritual resurrection, which will be studied in parts two and three. There is also what I call the complete or full resurrection, which will be studied in part six. In part 4, I cover the resurrection of all animals. Part 5 covers Death being Abolished.

Part 1: Resurrection from Death

Death

When a person dies, they do not go to heaven or hell, for they are dead. This applies to believers as well, they do not go to heaven. The spirit of the person goes back to God, their body is usually burnt, or decomposes in the ground. There soul goes to the unseen, because the soul, the feelings, are not seen anymore. They can not do anything, without a body. Their spirit is in a state of suspension, like sleep.

The Hebrew “Sheol,” and the Greek words “Hades, Tartarus and Gehenna” have all been translated as the word “Hell” in the King James version of the bible and other versions. Some bibles do not translated these words. Hades {Greek}, and Sheol {Hebrew} both mean the unseen. This is where the soul, your sensations, goes, not the spirit, because when someone dies the soul does not exist, thus it is unseen.

Tartarus is a jail where some sinning angels were sent {2 Peter 2:4-5 & 1 Peter 3:18-20}. It is not a place for humans. Gehenna is the Lake of Fire, which is not hell.

All who have died expect for Jesus Christ, are still dead, and in need of a resurrection of their body. Some people were raised from the dead by Jesus, but they all died again long ago. A number of people did get raised from the dead at the time of Jesus Christ’s death. These people were not immortal, and did not go to heaven, they died again sometime after their raising from the dead.

The Former Resurrection Revelation 20:4-6

In the book of Revelation one has to work out what is actually going to happen. For the book is full of hyperbola, that is an actually event may not occur the way it literally reads. The other fact is that some of the events are described in spiritual ways and should not be taken literally. Some events are actual spiritual events, thus they should be taken as literally events, but they are happening spiritually. With that in mind how should one take the first, or former resurrection of Revelation 20. Some Bibles use first, but I know of a lest one that uses former. I do prefer to use the word former as the first one to be resurrected from death was Christ, and this resurrection is sometime after that. Leaving aside for the moment the question of when this takes place, lets get into what actually takes place.

At this point in the book of Revelation, John is having a vision. In the vision back in chapter 4 he is taken to heaven. It is important to note that he is still in heaven. With that in mind lets now read the relevant verses.

Revelation 20:4-6 And I perceived thrones, and they are seated on them, and judgment was granted to them. And the souls of those executed because of the testimony of Jesus and because of the word of God, and those who do not worship the wild beast or its image, and did not get the emblem on their forehead and on their hand- they also live and reign with Christ a thousand years." (The rest of the dead do not live until the thousand years should be finished.) This is the former resurrection. Happy and holy is he who is having part in the former resurrection! Over these the second death has no jurisdiction, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and they will be reigning with Him the thousand years." {CLV}

These thrones are in heaven, who is it that is seated on them, believers in the testimony of Jesus Christ. This is an actual resurrection of their bodies.

Revelation 6:9-11 And when It opens the fifth seal, I perceived underneath the altar the souls of those who have been slain because of the word of God and because of the testimony which they had."And they cry with a loud voice, saying, "Till when, O Owner, holy and true, art Thou not judging and avenging our blood on those dwelling on the earth?And to each of them was given a white robe, and it was declared to them that they should be resting still a little time, till their number should be completed by their fellow slaves also, and their brethren, who are about to be killed even as they were." {CLV}

They are to rest still a little time, that is they are in the sleep which is death. Therefore they do not literally cry out. The white robe symbolizing purity.

Some may think that the Old Testament saints are resurrected here, that is those who believed in the one true God, before Jesus Christ came. While it does not say they are resurrected at this point I would, it would be the time of the snatch away which I cover later. At this time all those who are dead in Christ are resurrected, this would include the Old Testament saints. This is the time of the transformation of the believers who are still alive, which I cover below.

Note the beast is not a real beast, and people do not get actual emblems on their foreheads and hands. With that it mind I am treating it as an actual resurrection from death.

When is this former resurrection?

The easy answer is that the former resurrection is at the start of the millennium reign. However there are different views as to when the millennium starts. Most view the millennium as starting when Christ returns from heaven. This is based on their view point of the book of Revelation. For most the events in Revelation are all, or mostly future events. Some view the events as happening over the last 2000 years, with the millennium still future. That is they were future events when the book was written, but by now a number of these events have already occurred.

There is the view that the book of Revelation was mainly describing what was happening in John's day and the up coming war of 66-70 AD, ending with the destruction of the temple and Jerusalem. In this view the millennium started in 70 AD and has been going on for almost 2000 years. In this view the millennium will end when Christ returns. This is what I use to believe for several years, however there can be more than one fulfillment of a prophecy. That is the events in Revelation do cover the war in 66-70 AD, but they also cover events which where hundreds of years in the future in John's day. We are now coming to the end of the events which are just before the coming millennium mentioned in Revelation.

"No One Except Christ has been Resurrected":

Matthew 22:31-32 Now concerning the resurrection of the dead, did you not read that which is declared to you by God, saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? He is not the God of the dead but of the living." {CLV}

People think that this passage is saying that these people have already been resurrected or that they went straight to heaven when they died. No that is not what is indicated here, there will be a resurrection of the dead, however these people mention are still dead. They will be alive in the future, this is what is indicated here, God sees them alive, sees them as they will be in the future, and calls things as they will be, Romans 4:17.

Act 26:22-23 Happening, then, on assistance from God, until this day I stand attesting both to small and to great, saying nothing outside of what both the prophets and Moses speak of impending occurrences - if it be the suffering Christ -" if He, the first out of a resurrection of the dead, is about to be announcing light both to the people and to the nations." {CLV}

Jesus Christ is the first out of a resurrection of the dead, no one was resurrected before him. However what about the people Jesus raised from the dead, or that others have raised from the dead? These special temporary raising of the dead are not looked at as the resurrections of the dead that are mentioned in other places of scripture. This also applies to the ones who were raised from the dead when Christ died, these people had not been resurrected, they did not go to Heaven, they had been raised from the dead and did die again.

2Timothy 2:16-18 Yet from profane prattlings stand aloof, for they will be progressing to more irreverence, and their word will spread as gangrene, of whom are Hymeneus and Philetus, who swerve as to truth, saying that the resurrection has already occurred, and are subverting the faith of some." {CLV}

After Christ’s death and resurrection there were people who were saying that the “resurrection has already occurred”, these people were “subverting the faith of some.” These people were “swerve as to truth’, turning away from the truth, that there had be no resurrection of the dead at that point in time. Please note that the dates given for the books of the bible may not be correct and that some may have been written earlier. At this point there had not be a resurrection, as it was before the time of the former resurrection.

Please note that Christ did not go on any missions to the underworld, or to hell when he was dead. There is no underworld or hell where the dead are, and Christ was dead, there was no way he could do anything while he slept. For more about death refer to the article: What is Death

A Resurrection of the Just and the Unjust:

Acts 24:14-15 Yet I am avowing this to you, that, according to the way which they are terming a sect, thus am I offering divine service to the hereditary God, believing all that is written, according to the law and in the prophets, having an expectation in God, which these themselves also are anticipating, that there shall be a resurrection which is impending for both the just and the unjust." {CLV}

There is a resurrection of the just and the unjust. This seems to indicate one resurrection were both the just and the unjust will be raised from the dead.

However lets look at Act 26:23 “if He, the first out of a resurrection of the dead” {CLV}

We see that Christ is the first out of a resurrection of the dead, thus all that is indicate in Acts 24:14-15 is that the dead will be resurrected, not how many actual resurrections there are. We know that those in Christ will be raised first, therefore we know there are at least two.

John 5:24-29 Verily, verily, I am saying to you that he who is hearing My word and believing Him Who sends Me, has life eonian and is not coming into judging, but has proceeded out of death into life." Verily, verily, I am saying to you that coming is an hour, and now is, when the dead shall be hearing the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear shall be living." For even as the Father has life in Himself, thus to the Son also He gives to have life in Himself." And He gives Him authority to do judging, seeing that He is a son of mankind." Marvel not at this, for coming is the hour in which all who are in the tombs shall hear His voice, and those who do good shall go out into a resurrection of life, yet those who commit bad things, into a resurrection of judging." {CLV}

He who is hearing the word of Jesus is believing in God, the Father, who sent Jesus Christ. They have life eonian, that is life in the next eon. Hold on, will not all believers in Christ be immortal? Actual no, those believers who live on the earth during the millennium will not be immortal, it is only those who are transformed at his return, and those believers who are resurrected from the dead that will be immortal. These ones who are resurrected will get an additional benefit of life eonian in that they are alive while the rest of he dead are still actual dead until the end of the millennium.

At the end of the millennium all the rest of the dead will be resurrected with those who commit bad things going to be judged, that does not mean they go to hell forever or are destroyed forever. While the Lake of Fire is refer to as the Second Death, it is not the second physical death, it is the Second Death, meaning the second form of death. The first death being physical death will be over at this point.

The faithful have proceeded out of death into life, that is spiritually they have proceed, from being spiritually dead, to being spiritual alive. More on this later in part two.

Thus all in the tombs should hear the voice of God, the Father. Some will go into a resurrection of life, others to a resurrection of judging. The resurrection of the unjust happens just after the destruction of the earth.

Acts 13:48 Now on hearing this, the nations rejoiced and glorified the word of the Lord, and they believe, whoever were set for life eonian. {CLV}

As explained there are those who are set for life eonian, thus when they are resurrected they go into a resurrection of life. Here then are the two resurrections, first for those who are Christ’s, and then the second for the rest of the dead.

The Rest of the dead:

Revelation 20:5 The rest of the dead do not live until the thousand years should be finished. {CLV}

The rest of those who are dead spiritually, do not live until the thousands {plural} of years is finished. Thus they have to wait until that time is over before they get to live spiritually, be alive spiritually. That is they live spiritually at some point in the future. This does not mean they live spiritually straight after that period of time. When they are raised from physical death, they are still in a state of death.

Revelation 20:12 And I perceived the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne. And the scrolls were opened. And another scroll was opened which is the scroll of life. And the dead were judged by that which is written in the scrolls in accord with their acts." {CLV}

Here the dead stand before the throne, they can not do this if they are physically dead, thus they are still in a state of death, but are alive. What Revelation 20:5, is inform us is that they will live, that is they will be spiritual alive at some point in the future. All those who are figuratively dead will be spiritually alive sometime in the future.

Those who came into the light, but are not chosen, will not sit in the thrones, they will not be in Christ. Thus here in Revelation 20, they are counted with the dead. There is no mention of another group, thus they stay in a state of death. They do have the light, but it fades and they go back into the darkness.

Judgement:

There is no Hell or Annihilation, no one will go to hell and no one will be annihilated. The Lake of Fire where the unjust go is not hell, and is not a place of Annihilation.

Revelation 20:11-15 And I perceived a great white throne, and Him Who is sitting upon it, from Whose face earth and heaven fled, and no place was found for them. And I perceived the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne. And scrolls were opened. And another scroll was opened which is the scroll of life. And the dead were judged by that which is written in the scrolls in accord with their acts. And the sea gives up the dead in it, and death and the unseen give up the dead in them. And they were condemned {Judged}, each in accord with their acts. And death and the unseen were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death-the lake of fire. And if anyone was not found written in the scroll of life, he was cast into the lake of fire. {CLV}

The CLV uses the word “condemned,” but actually it is more correctly “judged.”

A lot of people believe in the millennium, and they think this is the resurrection after the millennium, this is actually the case. This judgement is after the destruction of the earth at the end of this present eon, at the end of the next eon. It is the end of the first death as it is cast into the lake of fire. For more on the Judgement refer to my: “Judgement series

Daniel 12:1-4 In that era shall stand up Michael, the great chief, standing over the sons of your people. Then comes to be an era of distress such as has not occurred since there came to be a nation on the earth, till that era. Now in that era your people shall escape--all those found written in the scroll." From those sleeping in the soil of the ground many shall awake, these to eonian life and these to reproach for eonian repulsion." The intelligent shall warn as the warning of the atmosphere, and those justifying many are as the stars for the eon and further." Now you Daniel, stop up the words and seal the scroll till the era of the end, when many will swerve as evil will increase." {CLV}

Escape: It does not mean escape from the coming tribulation. There is no coming tribulation of seven years or three and half years. They will escape from the coming destruction to the earth. However it more refers to the escape from the lake of fire. It says all those find on the scroll, that is the scroll of life.

Daniel 12:1 ….all those found written in the scroll."

Revelation 20:15 And if anyone was not found written in the scroll of life, {CLV}

Those on the scroll get eonian life, all those not on the scroll get reproach for eonian repulsion. Reproach is to criticize somebody or to criticize yourself, to feel ashamed because of what you have done wrong. Repulsion is a feeling of disgust.

It may seem that there is only one resurrection here in Daniel at the time of Judgement. However we know there is a former resurrection before the millennium, and that the judgement is after the millennium. Daniel did not know of the millennium. Those resurrected in the former resurrection will be on the scroll of life.

The Lake of Fire, is not a real lake of fire, this would be impossible, a lake is a body of water. This is spiritual as the rest of mankind are in need of spiritual cleansing and purifying. For more on the Lake of Fire and the great Throne Judgement refer to my “Judgement series

Those on the scroll escape be cast into the Lake of Fire at the judgement. However spiritually those on the scroll have gone through the lake of fire while they were alive before their physical death or before they were snatch away at Christ‘s return. When someone becomes a believer they enter the lake of fire, and are spiritually cleansed {water}, purified {fire} and their faith is test by fire {1 Peter 1:7}.

Interesting the same process happens for those who at the Great Throne Judgement go to the lake of fire. They will be figuratively dead to start with, however they will come to spiritual life, as the living water goes out to them. More on this in part 3. When they come to life then they will spiritually cleanse themselves and have their faith tested by the fire.

The Lake of Fire, is not a real lake of fire, this would be impossible, a lake is a body of water. This is spiritual as the rest of mankind are in need of spiritual cleansing and purifying, which will bring about their spiritual resurrection, when they will proceed from death to life and gain immortality. For more on the Lake of Fire and the great Throne Judgement refer to my “Judgement series.”

The Snatch Away:

The text of 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, covers what is commonly called the Rapture, however that is not a good term to use.

Rapture: From Latin raptus and rapere, meaning “to seize or snatch away violently.” Forming the basis of words like: rape, rapid and raptor.

Snatched {away}: From the Greek harpazo, meaning to snatch, that is to, seize or grab quickly with force or grasp quickly with force. Negatively used to mean a wolf seizing a sheep, or positively used to mean quickly grabbing someone out of harms way.

In the text of 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 the Greek word “harpazo” is used, meaning snatched. Thus it is better to call it the “Snatch Away.”

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 Now we do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who are reposing, lest you may sorrow according as the rest, also, who have no expectation. For, if we are believing that Jesus died and rose, thus also, those who are put to repose, will God, through Jesus, lead forth together with Him. For this we are saying to you by the word of the Lord, that we, the living, who are surviving to the presence of the Lord, should by no means outstrip those who are put to repose, for the Lord Himself will be descending from heaven with a shout of command, with the voice of the Chief Messenger, and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ shall be rising first, Thereupon we, the living who are surviving, shall at the same time be snatched away together with them in clouds, to meet the Lord in the air. And thus shall we always be together with the Lord. So that, console one another with these words." {CLV}

They did not want the brethren to be ignorant, concerning those believers who had been put to repose. Those put to repose, to rest, to sleep, those that had died. Those who are put to repose, will God, through Jesus, lead forth together with Him. The Lord Himself descends from heaven, that is He returns. Those that are dead in Christ rise first, this then is a resurrection of the dead in Christ. The ones who are alive meet up with those who have been resurrected.

All believers in Christ are the body, Christ is the head. There is only one body, and one head. There is no separate circumcision body. Those of Israel were known as the circumcision, however there is no separation in the body of believers.

Colossians 3:9-11 Do no lie to one another, stripping off the old humanity together with its practices, and putting on the young, which is being renewed into recognition, to accord with the Image of the One Who creates it, wherein there is no Greek and Jew, Circumcision and Uncircumcision, barbarian, Scythian, slave, freeman, but all and in all is Christ." {CLV}

There is NO Greek and Jew, Circumcision and Uncircumcision, barbarian, Scythian, slave, freeman, but all and in all is Christ. There are none of those groupings in those who believe, there is just all, that is “all who believe.” The all are one body, there are not different groups, different bodies. In all who believe is Christ, he is in all of them. Also Romans 10:12-13 & Galatians 3:27-29. For more on this refer to my article: “One Body

I believe that this will be just after Jesus Christ returns. There is no coming great tribulation. There is no rapture before a supposed future tribulation. Jesus refer to his return as being a thief, which does not mean a secret return, it means it will be a surprise, just like you would be surprise if you find a thief in your house. The book of Revelation, is not a prophecy of a future tribulation.

The snatch away mentioned in the above scripture happens when Jesus Christ returns, just before the millennium reign begins.

1Thessalonians 1:10 and to be waiting for His Son out of the heavens, Whom He rouses from among the dead, Jesus, our Rescuer out of the coming indignation." {CLV}

Jesus, the Rescuer, will come and rescuer the chosen out of the coming indignation. Which is not the supposed tribulation.

Romans 5:8-9 yet God is commending this love of His to us, seeing that, while we are still sinners, Christ died for our sakes." Much rather, then, being now justified in His blood, we shall be saved from indignation, through Him." {CLV}

The faithful will be rescued out of the coming indignation.

1Thessalonians 5:9-10 for God did not appoint us to indignation, but to the procuring of salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, Who died for our sakes, that, whether we may be watching or drowsing, we should be living at the same time together with Him." {CLV}

Hebrews 9:27-28 And, in as much as it is reserved to the men to be dying once, yet after this a judging, thus Christ also, being offered once for the bearing of the sins of many, will be seen a second time, by those awaiting Him, apart from sin, for salvation, through faith." {CLV}

God did not appoint the chosen to indignation, but to the procuring of salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. Whether the chosen be watching or drowsing, that is asleep, but not dead, the chosen should be living together with him. Salvation here meaning when the chosen, gain their immortality. The chosen are awaiting His return, for their salvation.

Transformation for Those In Christ at His Return:

Romans 8:22-25 For we are aware that the entire creation is groaning and travailing together until now. Yet not only so, but we ourselves also, who have the firstfruit of the spirit, we ourselves also, are groaning in ourselves, awaiting the sonship, the deliverance of our body." For to expectation were we saved. Now expectation, being observed, is not expectation, for what anyone is observing, why is he expecting it also? Now, if we are expecting what we are not observing, we are awaiting it with endurance." {CLV}

There is no doubt that the members of the body of Christ are saved, but they are awaiting the sonship, the deliverance of their body. That is the members of the body do not have salvation, they are not immortal, but the members of the body are saved, for to expectation were they saved. When a person is spiritual born, then they are saved, more on this in part two. When Jesus Christ returns they will gain their salvation, becoming immortal.

What is cover next in 1 Corinthians 15:50-58, is what happens to the faithful when Jesus Christ returns. Each member of the body of Christ has an allotment in the kingdom of God. A body of flesh and blood is not able to enjoy this allotment, which means that all the faithful will need to be change, before than can enjoy the allotment. A lot of the faithful in Christ will be dead when He returns, but there will be those of the faithful who are still alive.

1 Corinthians 15:50-58 Now this I am averring, brethren, that flesh and blood is not able to enjoy an allotment in the kingdom of God, neither is corruption enjoying the allotment of incorruption." Lo! a secret to you am I telling! We all, indeed, shall not be put to repose, yet we all shall be changed, in an instant, in the twinkle of an eye, at the last trump. For He will be trumpeting, and the dead will be roused incorruptible, and we shall be changed." For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal put on immortality." Now, whenever this corruptible should be putting on incorruption and this mortal should be putting on immortality, then shall come to pass the word which is written, Swallowed up was Death by Victory." Where, O Death, is your victory? Where, O Death, is your sting? Now the sting of Death is sin, yet the power of sin is the law." Now thanks be to God, Who is giving us the victory, through our Lord Jesus Christ." So that, my beloved brethren, become settled, unmovable, superabounding in the work of the Lord always, being aware that your toil is not for naught in the Lord." {CLV}

All the brethren will not be put to sleep, that is death, yet all the brethren shall be changed in an instant, in the twinkle of an eye. The dead brethren will be raised in their new immortal and incorruptible bodies. Those brethren who are alive when the Lord returns will be transformed, no longer will they have bodies of flesh and blood, but new immortal and incorruptible bodies, which will happen in the twinkling of an eye.

2 Corinthians 5:1-4 For we are aware that, if our terrestrial tabernacle house should be demolished, we have a building of God, a house not made by hands, eonian, in the heavens." For in this also we are groaning, longing to be dressed in our habitation which is out of heaven, if so be that, being dressed also, we shall not be found naked." For we also, who are in the tabernacle, are groaning, being burdened, on which we are not wanting to be stripped, but to be dressed, that the mortal may be swallowed up by life." {CLV}

The brethren are aware, or should be aware, that if their terrestrial tabernacle house is demolished, they have a building of God, a house not made by hands, in the heavens. This is not talking about the demolish of an actual house made of brick or wood. The brethren are longing to be dressed in this habitation. This is actual talking about the body, that is if a believer dies, that is their habitation is destroyed, they have a body, a habitation awaiting in the heavens. For the brethren are wanting to be dressed in their new body, that the mortal body may be swallowed up by the new immoral body.

However I am not saying that when a believer dies, they are automatically dressed in this habitation that is waiting for them. As stated earlier they are dead, that is they are asleep, they can not do anything. When they are resurrected from the dead then they will get this habitation that is waiting for them.

Predestination:

A lot of people believe that you can chose Christ or not choose Christ. However there is no choice, you can not chose to be saved or have salvation, or chose Christ. It is only those who are predestined, those who have been designated beforehand, that have true faith in Jesus Christ, the rest do not. When these ones get called, then they get faith in Jesus Christ. Here are a few of the many scriptures that prove predestination: John 15:16, John 15:19, Romans 8:28-30 & Ephesians 1:1-12. For more on this refer to my article: “Predestination

Loads of people go to church, but only a few of them were chosen beforehand. Most believe incorrectly that they have had some part in their salvation, by making a choice. These ones do not believe in Jesus Christ’s death and resurrection, they do not have faith in him, they have it in themselves. These people will miss out on the Snatch Away, they will be counted with the unjust, and have their part in the resurrection of the unjust.

Expectation:

1Peter 1:3-4 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who, according to His vast mercy, regenerates us into a living expectation, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from among the dead, for the enjoyment of an allotment incorruptible and undefiled and unfading, kept in the heavens for you, {CLV}

Thus certain people back then, and certain people today have an expectation. These people who are Christ‘s, have an expectation that they will have an allotment which is incorruptible and undefiled and unfading. These ones who have an expectation will be raised first, into a resurrection of life.

Acts 24:14-15 .…believing all that is written, according to the law and in the prophets, having an expectation in God, which these themselves also are anticipating, that there shall be a resurrection which is impending for both the just and the unjust." {CLV}

Paul speaks here about an expectation which others are also anticipating, the expectation is that there will be a resurrection which is impending for both the just and the unjust. Later it is revealed that those who have an expectation will be raised first {1 Thessalonians 4:13-17 refer to above}.

These who have an expectation, who will have a resurrection of life, are the just and are raised first. The unjust are raised shortly after this, just after the world is destroyed. Thus we only have two resurrections to come. There is no physical resurrection before a supposed coming millennium.

Salvation for All Mankind

Wait it sounds like I am saying all mankind will be saved. That is exactly what I am saying, all mankind will be saved, which is support in numerous places in the scriptures. Jesus Christ died on the cross for all mankind, not just those who believe, paying the price for all our sins, through His death and resurrection all mankind will be saved.

1 Timothy 4:9-11 Faithful is the saying and worthy of all welcome (for this are we toiling and being reproached), that we rely on the living God, Who is the Saviour of all mankind, especially of believers. These things be charging and teaching. {CLV}

1 Timothy 2:3-6 God, Who wills that all mankind be saved and come into a realization of the truth. For there is one God, and one Mediator of God and mankind, a Man, Christ Jesus, Who is giving Himself a correspondent Ransom for all {CLV}

& Romans 5:18-19, 1 Corinthians 15:21-22, 2 Corinthians 5:14-15, 1 John 4:14-16, Colossians 1:15-20.
