Judgement: 2 The Judgement of Sins

The first judgement for everybody has already past. What was this Judgement? It was the Judgement of Sins. On the Cross Jesus Christ was the sacrifice for sins. This was the Judgement of sins. Christ paid the penalty for sins on the cross. Jesus Christ the sin free offering to God, to pay the penalty once in full, the full and final payment.

However it is commonly taught that this judgement is only for Christians. There are passages that people use to support this. This judgement was NOT only on believers sins, but also on the sins of the whole world.

1Peter 2:24 Who Himself carries up our sins in His body on to the pole, that, coming away from sins, we should be living for righteousness; {CLV}

This is talking about believers, Christ has carried up the sins of believers in His body to the pole, that is the cross, that, Believers should be coming away from sins and should be living for righteousness. However that does not mean that he only bore the sins of believers to the Cross. Just because it does not say that he bore the sins of the rest of the world, does not mean he did not.

1Corinthians 15:3 For I give over to you among the first what also I accepted, that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures, {CLV}

That is Christ died for the sins of those who have faith, but that DOES NOT mean he did not die for the sins of the unfaithful and the unbelievers.

1 Timothy 2:3-6 God, Who wills that all mankind be saved and come into a realization of the truth. For there is one God, and one Mediator of God and mankind, a Man, Christ Jesus, Who is giving Himself a correspondent Ransom for all {CLV}

Christ Jesus is not just the ransom for believers, but is actually the corresponding Ransom for all. That is he is the ransom for all mankind, and this ransom was paid on the cross for all mankind, no one is excluded. Christ paid the ransom with his own life on the cross for all and on all who are believing for all have sinned. Not only did he pay the ransom for all, it was for all the sins of all. That is ALL the SINS of ALL MANKIND no matter if they where past, present or future. That is all sins have been paid for, for everyone.

Almost 2000 years ago Jesus Christ paid the price for the sins of the whole world. The sins of both the believer and the unbeliever were judged at the Cross. It does not matter when the sins where done, past, present, future, all the sins of all time where judged at the cross, in Christ. God who know all past, present and future sins that all mankind would commit lay all these sins upon Christ Jesus, as he hung on behalf of everyone on the cross.

Galatians 2:20 With Christ have I been crucified, yet I am living; no longer I, but living in me is Christ. Now that which I am now living in flesh, I am living in faith that is of the Son of God, Who loves me, and gives Himself up for me." {CLV}

All the chosen that are in Christ, have been crucified with Him. This is because Christ paid the price for the sins of the Chosen. But not just the sins of the Chosen, he bore the sins of the whole world. However it is only the chosen who are in Christ, and are living in faith. That does not mean the rest of mankind will not be in Christ, they are just not in Christ at this time.

Romans 8:1-2 Nothing, consequently, is now condemnation to those in Christ Jesus. Not according to flesh are they walking, but according to spirit, for the spirit's law of life in Christ Jesus frees you from the law of sin and death. {CLV}

Those who are living in faith are without condemnation, by the grace of God.

2Corinthians 5:21 For the One not knowing sin, He makes to be a sin offering for our sakes that we may be becoming God's righteousness in Him." {CLV}

Jesus Christ was made to be a sin offering for the sakes of those who have faith, that they maybe becoming God’s righteousness in Him, that is in Christ. Those who have faith will never have to face the sentence for their sins, never have to face judgement for their sins. That does not mean there is no judgement that they face. It also does not mean that they are the only ones who become righteous.

Galatians 3:13-14 Christ reclaims us from the curse of the law, becoming a curse for our sakes, for it is written, Accursed is everyone hanging on a pole, that the blessing of Abraham may be coming to the nations in Christ Jesus, that we may be obtaining the promise of the spirit through faith." {CLV}

Christ reclaimed the chosen from the curse of the law, become a curse for the sakes of the chosen. This is so that the blessings may be coming to the nations in Christ Jesus. So that the Chosen may be obtaining the promise of the spirit through faith. Notice the blessings may be coming to the nations in Christ Jesus. That is the blessings come to the nations, who will be in Christ.

Bore Sins of the Many

Hebrews 9:27-28 And, in as much as it is reserved to the men to be dying once, yet after this a judging, thus Christ also, being offered once for the bearing of the sins of many, will be seen a second time, by those awaiting Him, apart from sin, for salvation, through faith." {CLV}

Christ was offered once for the bearing of the sins of the many, that is he bore the sins of the many at the cross. Those awaiting Christ’s return will see Him, apart from sin, for salvation through faith. Those who have faith will have salvation when He returns. The many are all mankind, but how do I know the many are all mankind?

Romans 5:18-19 Consequently, then, as it was through one offense for all mankind for condemnation, thus also it is through one just award for all mankind for life's justifying." For even as, through the disobedience of the one man, the many were constituted sinners, thus also, through the obedience of the One, the many shall be constituted just." {CLV}

It states in Romans 5:18 that All mankind are going to be justified, and Romans 5:19 states that the many shall be constituted just. Thus the many are indeed all mankind. Thus Christ bore the sins of all mankind at the cross.

Christ is the Correspondent Ransom for All

Matthew 20:28 even as the Son of Mankind came, not to be served, but to serve, and to give His soul a ransom for many." {CLV}

Christ Jesus is the ransom for all, he paid the ransom for all mankind. It does not matter if you’re a believer or one of the unfaithful, or an unbeliever, he still paid the ransom for you. In fact he paid the ransom for all the faithful, all the unfaithful, and all the rest of mankind, no one has been excluded.

Not only has Christ paid the debt in full for all the chosen, but He has paid the price for the sins of all mankind. That is not to say that unbelievers and the unfaithful are not judged or punished for there sins. This will be covered later in the article. It is that they will not pay the ultimate price for their sins, that is death, for Jesus Christ died on the cross in their place. When they are raised at the Throne Judgement they will not be sentenced to death for their actions.

Christ Died for the Sake of All

2Corinthians 5:14-15 For the love of Christ is constraining us, judging this, that, if One died for the sake of all, consequently all died." And He died for the sake of all that those who are living should by no means still be living to themselves, but to the One dying and being roused for their sakes." {CLV}

Christ died for the sake of all, that is all mankind, not just those who believe. His death was for everyone, not just those who believe. And if One died for the sake of all, consequently all died. That is all mankind have died, that is all have been crucified with Christ Jesus on the cross. However all do not have faith at this time, all are not in Christ at this time. Jesus Christ died and was roused not just for those who have faith, He died and was roused for the sake of all mankind. All should be living for Christ, but it is only those who have been chosen who are living for Christ.
