Being More Like Christ-Doing the Will of God

Most of us who have been chosen by God, want to be more like Christ, thus we pray to be more like Christ. What was it that Christ did while He was here on the earth? All ready you have thought of a number of things. I am focus here on something He said that He was doing. What was it that Christ said He was doing overall?

For Christ said:

John 6:38 for I have descended from heaven, not that I should be doing My will, but the will of Him Who sends Me."

Thus Christ did not come to do His own will, but came to do the will of the one who sent Him. Who sent Christ? God of course sent Christ, that is Christ was on the earth doing the will of God, He was not do His own will.

Now if Christ is part of some trinity, and is actually God, would He not being doing His own will? You would think so wouldn’t you? Would not He have sent himself, instead of someone else sending Him? Christ is not part of the supposed imaginary trinity involving the Father, the Holy Ghost {Spirit} and the Son. There is no trinity, there is only one God, and God is not three persons.

Thus Christ’s Father, who is God, sent Christ to earth, to do the Father’s will. However it is not only Christ that can do the will of God, all the chosen can do the will of God as well. For Christ explains that we are His mother and His brothers:

Matthew 12:46-50 At His still speaking to the throngs, lo! His mother and brothers stood outside seeking to speak to Him." Now someone of His disciples said, "Lo! Thy mother and Thy brothers stand outside. They are seeking to speak to Thee." Yet He, answering, said to the one saying it to Him, "Who is My mother, and who are My brothers? And stretching out His hand over His disciples, He said, "Lo! My mother and My brothers!" For anyone whoever should be doing the will of My Father Who is in the heavens, he is My brother and sister and mother!"

Thus the chosen who are doing the will of God, are Christ’s brothers and sisters and mother.

How then are we to do the will of God, what is it that God wants me to do, to carry out His will. That of course is for you to find out, by praying.

Of course the bible tells us what the will of God is:

1 Timothy 2:3-6 God, Who wills that all mankind be saved and come into a realization of the truth. For there is one God, and one Mediator of God and mankind, a Man, Christ Jesus, Who is giving Himself a correspondent Ransom for all (the testimony in its own eras),

Now God has chosen certain people to carry out certain parts of His plan. They are to do His will, to bring about the salvation of all mankind.

1Corinthians 3:9 For God's fellow workers are we. God's farm, God's building, are you."

The Chosen are God's fellow workers, that is they are working to accomplish what God wants, they are working to the same goal. That is the salvation of all, that is the salvation of all creation. All creation includes all mankind, all animals, and all spiritual beings.

Now here is part of what the chosen should be doing:

2Corinthians 5:18-21 Yet all is of God, Who conciliates us to Himself through Christ, and is giving us the dispensation of the conciliation, how that God was in Christ, conciliating the world to Himself, not reckoning their offenses to them, and placing in us the word of the conciliation." For Christ, then, are we ambassadors, as of God entreating through us. We are beseeching for Christ's sake, "Be conciliated to God!" For the One not knowing sin, He makes to be a sin offering for our sakes that we may be becoming God's righteousness in Him."
