The events that I have attended to mark my Diamond Jubilee have been a humbling experience. It has touched me deeply to see so many thousands of families, neighbours and friends celebrating together in such a happy atmosphere.
我が在位六十周年を祝うために出席した数々の催し物は、自分を謙虚な気持ちにさせてくれる体験でした。特に感慨深かったのは、何千何万もの家族・隣人・友人たちが一緒になって実に楽しげな雰囲気の中で祝ってくれるのを見ることでした。
But Prince Philip and I want to take this opportunity to offer our special thanks and appreciation to all those who have had a hand in organising these Jubilee celebrations. It has been a massive challenge, and I’m sure that everyone who has enjoyed these festive occasions realises how much work has been involved.
しかし夫のフィリップ殿下と私は、これら六十周年祝典行事をお膳立てしてくださった人々全員に特別な御礼と感謝の念をこの機会に表明したく思います。ずっしりと重みのある難題でした。そしてこれらの華やいだお祭り行事を楽しまれた皆さんは、裏方でどれほどのご苦労があったかお気づきになるものと、私は確信しています。
I hope that memories of all this year’s happy events will brighten our lives for many years to come. I will continue to treasure and draw inspiration from the countless kindnesses shown to me in this country and throughout the Commonwealth. Thank you all.
今年の楽しい行事すべての思い出が私どもの人生を末永く明るく照らしてくれることを希望します。私は我が国（英国）と英連邦全体で自分に示された数え切れないほどのご親切をこれからも大切にし、そこから感化(インスピレーション)を受けていきます。みなさん、どうもありがとう。
