Shalom, dear all!
Thank you for praying faithfully for us. My sinus infection and ear infection have eased down. As long as sleeping enough, I don’t feel it. Thankfully, Douglas finished all the reports and the PIM board’s meeting on April 25 went well.
感謝您忠心地為我們禱告。我的鼻腔及耳朵發炎已經消下去。現在只要睡眠充足，就不會發作。感謝上帝，道格拉斯順利完成所有的報告，四月25日的PIM理監事會也順地進行。
Douglas and I left Reno on Aril 26th and arrived in Ambunti on May 9th via Los Angelas, Taipei, Manila, Port Moresby and Wewak. Thank God that the fuel crisis in PNG is not as bad as last year and there are not so many flight cancelations as before. While we were waiting in Wewak, there were more hours of power supply than last year. And it became easier to buy fuel. But for somehow, the prices of daily necessities have not stopped rising.
我和道格拉斯於 4 月 26 日離開里諾，途經洛杉磯、台北、馬尼拉、莫爾茲比港和威瓦克，於 5 月 9 日抵達安布恩提。感謝上帝，新幾內亞現在燃油危機沒有去年那麼嚴重，航班取消的情況也沒有以前那麼多。當我們在威瓦克等待的時候，供電時間比去年長。購買燃料也變得容易很多。但不知何故，民生物資的價格還是一直上漲。
道格拉斯的71歲生日那天，我們恰巧在威瓦克，不是在安布恩提。這讓我們得以在餐廳享用午餐來慶祝一下。我們很感恩47年來他能忠心事奉上帝，至今仍然火熱事奉。這是從上帝而來的獎賞。

Douglas's nasal infection has not healed. Since he didn't have a fever, the doctor in the US didn't prescribe any medicine for him. But recently he started to feel discomfort in his jaws and ears, and he started taking antibiotics yesterday.
道格拉斯的鼻腔發炎一直沒好。因為他沒發燒，美國的醫師沒有開藥給他。但是最近開始感到牙關節及耳朵不舒服，他昨天已經開始使用抗生素。
We are very thankful for God’s guidance in the direction of our Dorcas Ministry. Since we left Ambunti on February 17th, Beverlyn and Jennifer have spent one month making the patterns of choir robes for 28 women in Ambunti SSEC church, and another one and a half months teaching the ladies in groups to make the robes The 12 in the first group and 6 in the second have done the sewing. They are very proud of their works. Having a robe is something significant in PNG. And we appreciate the hard work of Beverlyn and Jennifer. It's a big sacrifice they have put in so much effort and done such a big project in the sewing ministry while they still owe school fees for their children. Meanwhile, there are 10 more women being supposed to be in the third group that will make their robe next month. And AOG church women haven’t really started this project yet. Therefore, for now, I am not teaching the original class, but starting the class with new students instead. We will have a pre-class exam on this coming Saturday mainly to see how well they can be taught to use a tailor’s ruler. They will be counted on lifting the technic level of sewing in the community.
我們很感恩上帝指引我們多加事工的新方向：自從我們在 2 月 17 日離開安布恩提以來，貝芙琳和珍妮佛花了一個月的時間為安布恩提SSEC 教堂的 28 名婦女製作詩班袍的版型，又花了一個半月的時間分組教婦女們製作詩班袍。第一組有12 個人，第二組 6 個人已經縫製完畢。 她們對自己的作品滿意得不得了。在新幾內亞，擁有一件詩班袍是一件很了不起的事。我們感謝貝芙琳和珍妮佛的辛勞。她們在還欠著孩子學費的時候，在縫紉事工上付出如此多的努力，完成如此大的項目，的確是大的犧牲。此時，預計第三批還有 10 名婦女將於下個月製作詩班袍。 而AOG 教會的婦女們還沒有真正開始做這個作品。因此，我先不急繼續教原來的班級，而是開始教新學生。我們將在本週六進行課前考試，主要是為了看看她們能不能學習使用裁縫尺。畢竟，提升社區縫紉技術水準還是要靠她們。
As for Church AOG's Dorcas Fellowship, it still has a long and arduous journey to go. Mrs. Carson is not read or do math, but she really wants to learn and she really wants to do sewing ministry in the church. I often can't figure out what she doesn't understand, and she doesn't know how to ask. I have been groping like this for almost two years. Not practicing what bene taught soon, she seems to forget most of it. In theory, it is better to make local people teach her. Now that I have discovered that Beverlyn and Jennifer are not available to teach her, I will give her extra lessons five days a week starting yesterday. I hope I have enough patience and she has enough perseverance. She has bad eyesight, bad waist and bad knees. Therefore, when drawing a pattern or cutting cloth, it is not hard for her to sit, stand, or even sit on the floor...it is very painful. I may feel discouraged because the students do not help each other, but there is no time to be discouraged. Once I have prayed and found my peace in God, I will actively remedy the situation! .
至於AOG的多加團契還有一段路要辛苦著走。卡森太太不識字也不會算術，但是她真的很想學會，也很想在教會做縫紉事工。我常常搞不清楚她到底哪裡不懂，她也不知道怎麼問。我就這樣摸索了快兩年。之前教的沒有馬上充分練習，她好像大多忘記了。照理來說，讓當地人教她是比較好的。現在我既已發現貝芙琳和珍妮佛不方便教她，昨天開始我就每周五天為她補課。希望我有足夠的耐心、她有足夠的毅力。她眼睛不好、腰不好、膝蓋不好。因此製圖或裁布時，坐著也不是、站著也不是、趴自地上也很痛……十分辛苦。或我會因為學員沒有彼此幫助而感到灰心，但是沒有時間灰心了，禱告清楚就積極補救吧！

4. May God bless the ladies who serve God through Dorcas Fellowship and sewing resource supplements: Beverlyn, Jennifer Y, Mrs. Kasen and Merolyn. Especially, three of them have difficulty in their children’s school fees.
求上帝恩待透過多加團契及管理縫紉資源來服事上帝的這幾位婦女：貝芙琳、珍妮芙·Y、卡森太太及梅若琳。尤其，其中三位婦女還欠著子女學費。
5. May God grant me and Mrs. Carson with wisdom and patience so that she is able to catch up the lessons in the following 6 weeks.
願上帝給我和卡森太太有智慧與耐心，讓她在接下來的六個星期能夠趕上進度。
6. May God heal Douglas’s sinus infection.
願上帝治愈道格拉斯的鼻腔發炎。
7. May our merciful God take care of my old parents who both suffer from dementia, and grant them salvation, health, peace and joy.
願憐憫的上帝看顧Sandy年邁失智的父母，賞賜他們救恩、健康、平安及喜樂。
8. May God watch over my brother’s family：remember their hard working and traveling, and bless their work and study.
願上帝看顧Sandy弟弟的家庭，記念他們的辛勤與奔波，賜福他們的工作與學業。
