Shalom, dear all!
Thank you for faithfully praying for us. We have had rain every night over the past week. After the PIM board’s meeting last week, Douglas’ cough started to ease down.
代禱勇士們，收信平安：
感謝你忠心地為我們禱告。過去這一個星期，我們每個晚上都有雨水。上個星期的PIM理監事會結束後，道格拉斯的咳嗽開始好轉。
It had been a hard time for him. His cough has bothered him for 3 weeks. It has affected his sleep, strength, breathing and swallowing. But it hasn’t affected his work or temper at all. He came in to the house this afternoon and said joyfully, “I have my normal voice back now.” I thank God that he had a good wife for 37 years. He and Leah got married and came to PNG in 1978. Even when she was diagnosed MS in 2004 and eventually lost all her strength, confined in bed for 6 years, she decided to be a joyful patient. She had used to be a health care taker to MS patients and seen how differently one’s life can be when he/she decide to rejoice in the Lord. Leah passed away in 2015. However, her life is still producing good fruit to people who know her story.
最近對他來說不容易。他咳嗽已經三個星期了。咳嗽影響了他的睡眠、體力、呼吸和吞嚥。但是卻一點都沒有影響到他的工作和脾氣。今天下午他回到屋裡高興地說：「我的聲音恢復正常了。」感謝神，他過去跟一個好老婆生活了37年。莉亞和他在1978年結婚並且來到新幾內亞。即使在2004確診多發性僵化症、最終完全失能、臥床6年，她還是要當個喜樂的病人。過去她曾經擔任過多發性僵化症病患的看護，並且了解到當人決定要在主裡喜樂，生命會有多麼不一樣。莉亞在2015年過世了，然而她的生命仍然在對聽聞她故事的人結出好果子。
Wewak has been having a continuous blackout since last Wednesday evening. We were told that the power company was waiting for a new generator to come. PIM hadn’t had a generator in Wewak before. But Douglas, who is a good steward always conservative about budgeting, decided to buy a small generator last month due to the need of renovating an office. After the renovation work was completed, we had not used generator since it is pricey to operate a generator and no of us had had the time to line in a long queue for buying the petrol for it. Last Saturday, we eventually purchased the petrol and got the generator going, pumping the water from the rain water saving tank to the tank on top of the roof, charging all our batteries…. We thanked God that we were able to get some petrol and that we bought that generator last month. It wouldn’t be possible to buy one this month.
威瓦克自上周三晚上一直持續停電。有人告訴我們電力公司正在等待一部新的發電機到來。PIM過去在威瓦克並沒有發電機，但是上個月因為翻修辦公室的需要，對預算非常謹慎的好管家道格拉斯決定購買一部小型的。裝修工程結束後，我們就不使用發電機了，一來因為發電機的運轉費用很高，二來是因為我們都沒有時間去大排長龍買發電機需要的汽油。上星期六，我們終於買到一些汽油，並且發動了發電機，可以把儲水槽的水打到屋頂的水塔、把所有可以充電的電池都充飽電…。感謝神一來讓我們可以買到汽油，二來讓我們上個月買了發電機。這個月應該是要買也買不到的。
Douglas and I came to Ambunti yesterday (Tuesday). Thank God for the safe flight with MAF (Mission Aviation Fellowship), and we didn’t have to travel on road and river this time. It was extremely windy on River Sepik yesterday. A big canoe full of passengers and cargo was tipped over. They lost all the cargo. Thank God that no life was lost.
道格拉斯和我昨天抵達安布恩提。感謝神，我們搭乘宣教飛行團契的飛機平安抵達，這次不用搭車搭船。昨天希比克河上狂風大作，一艘載滿乘客及貨物的大型獨木舟翻覆了，損失了所有的貨物。感謝神，所有的乘客都獲救。
PIM headquarter in Ambunti is quite busy at the moment. 23 PIM school teachers who serves in different villages are here for some supplies and meetings. I am busy in the house, cleaning the house, taking our belongings out of the storage and settling down. And Douglas will stay here in Ambunti for two weeks, and then, he will have to go to the USA for his commitments there.
位於安布恩提的PIM總部現在非常熱鬧。23位在不同村莊服務的PIM學校教師來這裡參加會議並補給必需品。我在屋子裡忙著，打掃房子，把我們的物品從儲藏室取出，安頓下來。道格拉斯將在安布恩提待兩個星期，然後他就得到美國做他在那邊的工作。

3. The Education Department of PNG is having a project with PIM, distributing 100,000 copies of religious education textbooks to high schools in all provinces in PNG. PIM is facing difficulties in finding representatives in all different areas. May God pave the way and grant His divine wisdom.
新幾內亞教育部與PIM目前有一個合作方案，發送十萬份宗教教育教科書到各省的公立中學。PIM要在各地區找代辦人員有很大困難。求神開路、賞賜智慧。
4. The application documents of my work visa had been misplaced by the government department. And the agent has resent them. May God pave our path.
Sandy 的工作簽證申請文件被政府部門弄丟了，代辦員已經重新呈交文件，求神開路。
5. Douglas is still coughing. May God heal him.
道格拉斯咳嗽還沒好。願上帝醫治他。
6. May God grant His mercy in my old parents’ financial needs, take care of them, and grant them salvation, health, peace and joy.
願神憐憫Sandy年邁父母的財務需要、看顧他們，賞賜他們救恩、健康、平安及喜樂。
