Shalom, dear all!
Thank you for faithfully praying for us. I would like to apologize for failing to do my updates for 2 months and worrying many of you. Two severe typhoons struck southern Taiwan earlier this year. When I came back in the beginning of October, the drawers of the lower cupboards in my house were full of dirty water that had caused by the flood. The house was moldy, rusty and dusty. At the end of October, a church sister came and helped me make the house “inhabitable”. Honestly, she worked more that 10 times faster than I did. Kind of my 60th birthday present, Douglas let me be away from Kaohsiung and have a week rest in Japan in the beginning of November, and he came to Kaohsiung on the day I came back from Japan. I have become much better having him. But having been wrapped up with so many things unexpected that need dealing with, I am kind of worn out. 
代禱勇士們，收信平安：

感謝您忠心為我們禱告。 兩個月沒有寫代禱信，讓許多人感到擔憂，敬請見諒。今年早些時候，兩個強烈颱風襲擊臺灣南部。因為有淹水，當我在十月初回來時，我家下層櫥櫃的抽屜裡還有髒水。房子及家具發黴、生鏽、到處都是灰塵。十月底有教會的姐妹來幫助我讓房子較能住人（她的動作真是比我快不只十倍）。十一月初，道格拉斯成全我離開高雄到日本休息一個星期（也算是給我滿六十歲的禮物），並且在我回高雄的那一天，他就來高雄與我會合。 有他來，我覺得好多了。但是，在高雄有這麼多意想不到需要處理的事情，我感到疲憊不堪。

Douglas found a tree that had its root fan into the roof of my house. After he had dug up the water proof layer and a lot of tiles on the roof, a church deacon came to look at it and helped us find some workers that efficiently got rid of the tree and filled in several layers of water proof cement. Douglas has also been doing a lot of work in the house, getting rid of the mold and rust, replacing the wooden cupboards with plastic drawers and iron frames. We threw away many items that were damaged by the humidity due to the flood. And even our neighbors gave us a hand with the garbage. The house that did frustrate me a lot when I came back from PNG in October is now in a reasonable condition that I would leave without worrying about coming back.    

道格拉斯發現有一棵樹根部成扇狀侵入我房子屋頂，在他把屋頂的防水層與瓷磚敲開一大片之後，一位教會的執事來了解狀況，並幫我們找到工人很有效率地把那棵樹移除了，又鋪上好幾層防水的水泥。道格拉斯也費了很多工夫清除屋子裡的發霉和生鏽，又把木質櫥櫃汰換成鐵架與塑膠抽屜。我們丟掉很多淹水造成濕氣而遭破壞的東西，連鄰居都來幫我們處理垃圾。我十月份從新幾內亞回來時，這房子的狀況真是讓我傻眼又沮喪；而現在它已經恢復得差不多，我可以放心地離開，應該不會不敢再回來。

Having been spinning among endless errands and cleaning tasks in Kaohsiung, and realizing a few days of being away from Kaohsiung is badly needed, we took a trip to Taitung (East Taiwan) in the first week of this month. And it happened that a psychological counselor being caring for me over the years went to Taitung when we were there. We had a very good time of fellowship with him. Through chatting with him, God made me understand myself much better and how God turned my disadvantages into abilities that enabled me get through all harms. Some friends came to eat with us even when our house was a mess and proper meals couldn’t be cooked. We truly thank God for precious friendship at time we were not fine.   

在高雄無休止的雜務和清潔工作中忙得團團轉，讓我們意識到有必要離開高雄幾天，因此我們在本月的第一周去了台東（台灣東部）。碰巧有一位多年來關心我的心理諮商師，當我們在台東時，他也去了台東。我們與他碰面有美好的團契。通過與他聊天，上帝讓我更瞭解自己，以及上帝如何將我的缺陷轉化為能力，使我能夠超越傷害。還有，即使是我們的房子一團糟，我們無法好好做飯的日子，也有一些朋友不嫌棄來和我們一起吃飯。我們真的感謝上帝在我們狀況不好的時候賞賜我們珍貴的友誼。 

Our travel back to PNG has been delayed for quite a few weeks due to the work in the house, medical treatments and some other issues. When we are considering booking to flights, there are obstacles in Douglas’ visa application. We trust in God for His good timing and that He is kind, tender and merciful to us. We pray that God keeps us humble enough to learn all necessary lessons through our difficulties.    
由於家裡的工作、醫療和其他一些問題，我們返回新幾內亞的行程已經延遲了好幾個星期。在我們正在考慮預訂航班的此時，道格拉斯的簽證申請發生一些障礙。我們相信上帝有美好的時間表，相信祂對我們有慈愛、溫柔與憐悯。我們祈求上帝讓我們足夠謙卑，能通過我們的困難學習所有必要的功課。

1.       May God be in charge of the fuel crisis, currency policy, and economy development in PNG.
求神在新幾內亞的燃油危機、貨幣政策以及經濟發展中掌權。

2.       The elevation of fuel price and unavailability of fuel have significantly affected our ministries in PNG. And we have to reduce the hours of running the generator in PIM Headquarter in Ambunti and cut down necessary boat trips that all staff would make. May God grant us His sufficiency to us.
燃料價格的上漲和燃料的供缺嚴重影響了我們在新幾內亞的事工。我們必須減少 PIM在安布恩提總部的發電機運行時間，並砍減工作人員必要的開船出任務的航行。求神供應。

3.       Due to the new banking policy of PNG, it has been taking long hours in banking work each week for PIM staff to transfer the funds and to withdraw in order to keep the ministries going. May God rule over the banking issue.  
由於新幾內亞新的銀行政策，PIM工作人員每週都要花很長時間在銀行處理資金的匯存及提領，才得以維持事工的運作。求神在銀行事務中掌權。

4.       May God pave our way back to PNG and for Douglas’ visa application.  
願上帝為我們回到新幾內亞和道格拉斯的簽證申請鋪路。

5.       Both Douglas and I are having muscle injuries. May God heal us.  
道格拉斯和我的肌肉都受傷了。願上帝醫治我們。

6.       With multi-duties, Douglas works day and night. May God grant he good health.
道格拉斯身兼眾多職務，日夜工作。願上帝賞賜給他健康的身體。

7.       May God give strength to Douglas in doing a report that is supposed to be presented to The Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA) on the 16th.
求神賜力量給道格拉斯做報告於16日提交給美國福音財務責任委員會。

8.       May God grant Douglas wisdom and strength in facilitating the sewing resource center.  
願上帝在建置縫紉資源中心事上，賞賜道格拉斯智慧與力量。

9.       May God grant us His divine guidance in purchasing the generator for South Sea Evangelical Church in Ambunti.
願上帝在我們為安布恩提南海福音教會購買發電機的事上，指引我們。

10.   May God bless the sewing ministry “Dorcas Fellowship” in churches in the Ambunti area. 
願上帝保守安布恩提地區教會的縫紉事工「多加團契」。

11.   May God grant His mercy in my old parents’ financial needs, take care of them, and grant them salvation, health, peace and joy.
願神憐憫Sandy年邁父母的財務需要、看顧他們，賞賜他們救恩、健康、平安及喜樂。

12.   May God watch over my brother’s family：remember their hard working and traveling, and bless their work and study.
願神看顧Sandy弟弟的家庭，記念他們的辛勤與奔波，賜福他們的工作與學業。
