Shalom, dear all!
Thank you for faithfully praying for us. One of the participants of my D2B class received Jesus as her savior last week. I have been preaching to her since 2006 and we have been being through a lot together. She is a friend to whom I never avoid talking about my weaknesses. Anyway, leading her to Jesus would be the best thing I can do for her.
各位代禱勇士，收信平安。
感謝大家忠心為我們代禱。我帶領「從懷疑到相信」課程的其中一位學員，上個星期二接受耶穌成為她個人的救主。我已經跟她談道15年了，這當中我們一起經歷過生命當中的風風雨雨，甚至我也從不向她隱瞞我的軟弱。然而，我能為她做的最好的事，就是帶領她認識耶穌。
As mentioned in my last update, our flight on January 8th had been canceled. Due to the annual Christmas holiday, we haven’t been able to find out what to do with our SOE entry permit. Therefore, we can’t decide the date of departure yet. The pandemic of COVID-19 has dramatically changed people’s life in all aspects, including aviation regulations of all countries. And we all have to bring our frustrations to God, and trust that He will fulfilled His beautiful plan in the most beautiful time.
上一回的代禱信有跟大家提到，我們原定一月八日的班機已經被取消了。由於聖誕年假之故，我們還不能問清楚我們的緊急狀態入境許可該怎麼辦。就這樣，出發的日期也還不能確定。新冠肺炎的疫情改變了生活上大大小小的事情，包括所有國家的航空規定。我們都得把所有的困頓帶到上帝面前來，相信神會在最美的時間成就祂最美的計畫。
Far away from now, we were to go back PNG via Manila on 2020, Feb, 11th and continue the ministry that we initiated in 2019. The tickets had been purchased but the PNG government locked down the border on 2020, Jan, 31st. Having to cancel our booking, each of us lost 400 USD. Actually, that would not be the worst situation. If the PNG border had not been locked down at the end of January, we could have lost at least 3,000 USD: It happened that the Philippine government announced their rejection to travelers form Taiwan right at the time while the plane on Feb, 11th had already taken off from Taiwan but not arrived in Manila yet. If we had been on that plane, we could have got stuck in the airport of Manila and been trying to find any flight back to Taiwan at any cost.
比這更早以前，我們原定2020年二月11日從台灣出發、過境馬尼拉，回到新幾內亞繼續做我們2019年在那裏開拓的事工。機票都買好了，新幾內亞政府卻在一月底宣布封鎖邊境。我們只好把機票退了，每個人損失美金四百元。那絕對不是最糟糕的狀況。如果新幾內亞一月底不鎖國的話，我們至少每人要損失三千元美金：馬尼拉政府在二月11日宣布禁止台灣旅客入境或過境，那時我們原定的班機已經從台灣起飛，卻還沒在馬尼拉降落。要是我們搭了那班飛機，抵達馬尼拉時，我們就得被困在機場，且不計代價找到任何一班可以盡快回台灣的班機。
Being a cross-cultural missionary, we are to face unbelievable and indescribable uncertainty all the time. Many bubbles of “what if” might pupped up in mind and they could drive us nuts. What keeps us going is “what Jesus is”. Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. We shall not fall into the traps of lies that Satan puts into all the “what if”. And the truth is that Jesus is with us to the very end of the age.
跨文化宣教士總是在面對難以相信又難以告訴別人的不確定因素。腦子裡難免冒出很多「假如….該怎麼辦」的小泡泡，這些會把人擠瘋的。宣教士也只是常人。能讓我們繼續往前走的是耶穌的自我介紹，祂是道路、真理、生命。我們不要墮入撒旦放在這些泡泡中的謊言。真理就是，耶穌要和我們同在，直到世界的末了。
Are you bothered by bubbles of “what if”? Stick together with a Bible-based church, and learn how you would follow Jesus. And you surely will enter His Peace.
「假如….該怎麼辦」的小泡泡們也在困擾您嗎？好好在一個以聖經為本的教會裡生根成長，學習跟隨耶穌。您就要進入祂的安息。

2. We are working on purchasing a long-term- durational medical evacuation insurance package. May God guide us.

4. I am supposed to give a talk in a campus fellowship in Ping Tong on December 30th. May God do His work among us.
我將於12月30日在屏東的一所大學的團契分享信息，願神在我們當中運行。
5. May God’s Spirit work among us in the one-to-one reaching out course “D2B”.
求神的靈親自在「從懷疑到相信」一對一佈道課程當中動工。
