Peter Staying in Joppa
On July 17th, Pastor Steven came to Wewak to help us rent a house and find a car. We enjoyed our fellowship together. Though we can’t find a suitable house at the price we can afford yet, because of God’s mercy, Ps Steven’s good friend Jerry kindly let us stay in his guest house until we find a house to rent. Jerry is also a cousin of one of our church friends in Tien En Tang Church. But he himself is not a believer. On July 19th, with the help of Ps Steven, we bought some kitchen items from the stores and moved into Jerry’s guest house. The house has a great view of the sea. That reminds me that when Peter was in Joppa, he was staying with Simon the tanner, whose house was by the sea, and God gave him the vision that turned his mind upside down. I am hoping God will renew my mind too and shake off all my pride and prejudice so that I can serve Him in PNG the way He likes.
住在約帕的彼得
七月17日，王濤傳道來威瓦克幫助我們找車找房。他在這裡的時間，我們有美好的團契。雖然尚未找到我們預算內的房子，因著神的恩典，王濤傳道的好朋友黃老闆好心讓我們住到他賓館中的公寓房，讓我們可以慢慢繼續找。黃老闆也是天恩堂一位姐妹的表哥，他還沒信主。七月19日，王濤傳道幫助我們去商店買一些廚房用品，並且協助我們搬進黃老闆的賓館公寓。在這裡可以看到海景。眼前的一切讓我想起，當彼得在約帕停留期間，他住在海邊一位硝皮匠西門的家中。神在那裡讓他看見了異象，徹底顛覆他的思維。我希望神也更新我的心志，除去我一切的驕傲與偏見，好讓我在新幾內亞的服事合祂心意。
Because of changing of the regulations, buying a second hand car in PNG has become quite complicated. Many church members are helping us. Let’s trust it in the Lord’s mighty hands. Without a car, we can hardly reach our target people group. But we believe God has His special plan on this.
由於法規修幅頗大，在新幾內亞買二手車變得相當複雜。很多主內兄姐正在想辦法幫助我們。咱們就把這件事交託在神的大能手中。沒有車的確很難接觸到我們的目標族群。但是我們相信神有祂特別的計劃。
Kellen has been sick for two weeks. Her nose is so blocked that when she sits up, tears come out like crying. But for safety reason, whenever I go to the town for shopping, she would go with me. On Saturday, we issued an emergent prayer request and many brothers and sisters have prayed hard for her. God has listened and granted our plea. Today she has become much better.
Kellen已經生病兩個星期了。她鼻塞得嚴重，一坐起來就眼淚鼻涕直流，像在哭一樣。然而，為了安全，我到街上買東西時，她也會一起去。星期六我們發出緊急代禱信息，很多弟兄姐妹竭力為她禱告。神聽了我們的祈求，今天她有好多了。
Friendship under the Big Tree
As we are staying with Jerry, we have found opportunities to minister his workers and make friends with the vendors under the tree cross the road. The kids are so enthusiastic in turning us into PNG women that they would like to take us home and teach us how to make sago jelly nuggets. I so far have three potential students who would like to learn sewing. But we have to wait until we have found a house. We also go to the open market every day. There we can see our friends coming from the jungle for selling their specialty carrying bags. As we minister them, we also show them how to present their products. Praise the Lord! That does make them sell better.
大樹下的情誼
在Jerry的地方暫住的時間，我們還是找機會服事他的員工，也到對街大樹下與小販們交朋友。這裡的小孩子們很熱心要幫助我們成為新幾內亞女人。他們邀請我們到他們家裡，好教我們怎麼做西谷粉涼糕。到目前為止，已經有三個學生等著要我們教裁縫。可是我們要等到找到住處之後才可以開始。每天我們都到傳統市場去，探望從村子到城裡賣特色織袋的朋友，還可以教他們怎麼推銷產品。感謝主，他們真的有賣得比較好。
Peace in Waves
Though everything is uncertain, we have had great divine peace in our heart. We are so thankful that God has shown His love to us through so many people. Their kind acceptance to us has generated very powerful strength inside us so that we are full of joy every day.
風浪中的平安
雖然所有的事情都很不確定，我們的心中仍有極大屬天的平安。感謝神透過這麼多人向我們彰顯祂的慈愛。大家對我們的接納使我們心中產生極大的力量，使我們每天充滿喜樂。
