Shalom, dear all!
Thank you for faithfully praying for us. Douglas has been very busy preparing for the board’s meeting that is going to take place this coming Friday. And I have a lot of opportunities talking to individuals about cross-cultural ministries. I thank God for the experiences of crossing several cultures and appreciate the opportunities sharing these experiences with people while I am waiting for my visa for going back to PNG.

代禱勇士們，收信平安：

感謝您忠心為我們禱告。道格拉斯還是忙於預備本周五即將召開的理監事會議。我則有很多機會與個人談論跨文化宣教事工。感謝神給我橫跨幾個文化的經驗，也很珍惜在等候回新幾內亞的簽證時，能夠與人分享這些經驗的機會。

Last Saturday, we celebrated Douglas’ 70th birthday to come with 3 of the 4 children, their spouses, and 10 of the 11 grandchildren. Mother-in-law, Nichole, was also with us. Thank God for allowing us get together and granting Douglas good health that he has been able to serve Him in PNG since 1978. Douglas’ faithfulness and God’s grace of letting him serve with faithfulness is a living demonstration of 1Timothy 1:12.
道格拉斯的 70 歲生日快到了，上週六，我們與 4 個孩子中的 3 個、他們的配偶以及 11 個孫子中的 10 個一起慶祝。親家母妮可也和我們在一起。感謝上帝讓我們相聚在一起，並賜予道格拉斯健康的身體，讓他能夠自1978 年以來一直在新幾內亞事奉上帝。道格拉斯的忠誠以及上帝讓他忠誠地事奉祂的恩典是提摩太前書 1:12 活生生的說明。

I thank Christ Jesus our Lord,
who has given me strength,
that he considered me trustworthy,
appointing me to his service.
我感謝那給我力量的

因祂以我有忠心，
派我服事祂。

Last Wednesday, a church couple, Matthew and Kathy, let us move into their beautiful house in the forest in southern Reno. After 10 days of staying in a motel or in the office that generated many creative dishes of mine, we are so thankful for a house to live and a kitchen to cook in. We enjoy staying in this house and I have made more creative dishes these days. No matter where God locates us, there must be His good and kind purpose.

上週三，一對教會裡的夫婦馬修和凱西讓我們搬進他們位於里諾南部森林的美麗房子。在激發出我很多創意料理的汽車旅館及辦公室住了10天之後，我們非常感謝有一個可以暫住的房子和一個可以做飯的廚房。我們很喜歡住在這棟房子裡，這些天我做了更多創意料理。無論上帝把我們放置在哪裡，都一定有祂美好和仁慈的旨意。

The sermon last Sunday gave me a lot of inspiration, especially Pastor Jay mentioned that the power received from the Holy Spirit in Acts 1:8 is “dunamis”, that is from the same root as the words dynamite, dynamic, ...
上週日的主日講道給了我很多啟發，特別是杰依牧師提到使徒行傳1章8節中，從聖靈領受的能力是“dunamis”，與dynamite炸藥、dynamic思維活躍的、活潑的、充滿活力的、精力充沛的、不斷變化的、不斷發展的、動力的...同一字根。

But you will receive power
when the Holy Spirit comes on you;
and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem,
and in all Judea and Samaria,
and to the ends of the earth.
但聖靈降臨在你們身上，
你們就必得著能力，
並要在耶路撒冷、猶太全地，和撒馬利亞，
直到地極，作我的見證。

The power granted by God to missionaries and church for doing His global Mission is “dunamis”. What an encouragement and enlightenment to us!!!
上帝授予宣教士和教會以履行祂普世宣教的力量是「dunamis」。對我們來說是多大的鼓勵與啟發啊！！！

What God has brought Douglas and me through in the recent couple weeks also reminds me another “dunamis” God grants to missionaries.
上帝讓道格拉斯和我在最近幾週經歷的事情也讓我想起了上帝賜給宣教士的另一個「dunamis」。

I am not saying this because I am in need,
for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.
I know what it is to be in need,
and I know what it is to have plenty.
I have learned the secret of being content
in any and every situation,
whether well fed or hungry,
whether living in plenty or in want.
I can do all this
through him who gives me strength.
(Philippians 4:11-13)
我並不是因缺乏說這話；
我無論在甚麼景況都可以知足，
這是我已經學會了。
我知道怎樣處卑賤，也知道怎樣處豐富；
或飽足，或飢餓；或有餘，或缺乏，
隨事隨在，我都得了祕訣。
我靠著那加給我力量的，凡事都能做。
(腓立比書4:11-13)

Contentment is a life-long lesson we learn in our ups-n-downs. Contentment is strength(dunamis) given by God. Contentment is the secret that can be revealed by only the ones who hand themselves over to God and are willing to learn.
知足的心是我們在起起落落中終身學習的功課；知足的心是上帝所賞賜的力量(dunamis)；知足的心是惟有將自己交在上帝手中並願意學習之人所能一探其妙的秘訣。

1. PNG government is short of US Dollars for buying fuel. The chain effects have caused a sharp rise in prices and other social issues. May God help PNG government in sorting out the currency issue and the fuel crisis.
新幾內亞政府缺乏購買燃油的美元。其連鎖效應導致物價大幅上漲及其他社會問題。願上帝幫助新幾內亞政府解決貨幣問題及燃油危機。

2. Mission Aviation Fellowship is facing severe shortage of manpower, aircrafts and fuel. May God has His mercy on the great aviation needs of missionaries in PNG.
宣教飛行團契正面對人力、飛機及燃油的嚴重短缺，願上帝憐憫在新幾內亞宣教士們的大量飛行需要。

3. PIM has been having a project with The Education Department of PNG, distributing 100,000 copies of religious education textbooks to high schools in all provinces in PNG. May God bless the big job of distribution.
PIM與新幾內亞教育部已經展開合作方案，發送十萬份宗教教育教科書到各省的公立中學。求神保守此龐大的分發工作。

4. May God grant wisdom to the PIM board members in doing His will at the board’s meeting of PIM USA that is going to take place in May 10th.
PIM美國理監事會議將於五月10日舉行，求神賞賜給大家智慧遵行祂的旨意。

5. Besides the tasks in the USA, Douglas is handling the tasks of PIM happening in PNG, working day and night. May God remember his hard-working and bless him with good health.
道格拉斯日夜工作，除了處理美國PIM的事務，同時也要掌握PIM在新幾內亞正在進行的各項事務。求神記念他的辛勞，賞賜給他健康的身體。

6. May God grant wisdom and patience to the trained women in the sewing training course in developing the sewing ministries of Dorcas Fellowship in South Sea Evangelical Church in Ambnuti and the AOG Church in Ambunti.
求神保守在縫紉訓練課程受訓的學員，讓她們有智慧及耐心在《安布恩提南海福音教會》及《安布恩提神召會》發展多加團契縫紉事工。

7. May God give me wisdom in efficiently helping the ladies here in long term with pricy sewing resource.
求神給Sandy智慧有效且長效地幫助這裡的婦女解決縫紉物資的問題。

8. May God remember Sandy’s fellow workers Beverlyn’s & Jennifer’s hearts in serving Him in the sewing ministry, and provide their families with their needs.
求神記念Sandy的同工貝芙琳和珍妮芙在縫紉事工事奉祂的用心，供應她們家庭的需要。

9. May God bless the work of the Women’s fellowship in South Sea Evangelical Church in Ambunti at raising fund for the generator.
求神記念並賜福安布恩提南海福音教會婦女團契為發電機募款的努力。

10. Douglas got the report from a PIM manager in PNG last Wednesday saying that the property of PIM in Wewak was broken into again. This was the 4th time this year!!! A nearby mission organization was also broken into even with a security guard on duty. Thank God that nobody was hurt. May God grant safety on His property with mission organizations in PNG.
上星期三新幾內亞的一位PIM經理來電向道格拉斯報告，PIM在威瓦克的基地又被闖入了。今年以來，這已經是第四次！！！鄰近的一所宣教機構雖有警衛當值，仍然也被闖入。求神賞賜安全給屬祂在新幾內亞的福音機構產業。

11. May God pave our path to renewing my work visa.
求神為Sandy工作簽證的續簽程序開路。

12. My mom, suffering from dementia, was seen picked up by a van while waiting for the taxi sent by the daycare center the other day. My sister-in-law brought her home from the police station and found her arm broken. May God grant His Divine Protection to my parents and heal my mom’s broken arm. Sandy患有失智症的媽媽幾天前在等日照中心的計程車時，無故被一部廂型車接走。Sandy弟媳把媽媽從警察局接回時，發現媽媽手臂骨折了。願神賞賜Sandy的父母屬天的保護，並醫治Sandy媽媽手臂的骨折。

13. May God grant His mercy in my old parents’ financial needs, take care of them, and grant them salvation, health, peace and joy.
願神憐憫Sandy年邁父母的財務需要、看顧他們，賞賜他們救恩、健康、平安及喜樂。

14. May God watch over my brother’s family：remember their hard working and traveling, and bless their work and study.
願神看顧Sandy弟弟的家庭，記念他們的辛勤與奔波，賜福他們的工作與學業。
