Shalom, dear all!
Thank you for praying faithfully for us. We had drums of fuel for the boat delivered to Ambunti on the 11th. The on-job training of PIM school teachers started on the 15th. It is now the second week of the training, more people who would like to be trained to be early-stage-education workers have come. The accommodations of PIM and some churches near by are all packed.
代禱勇士們，收信平安：

感謝你忠心地為我們禱告。燃油在十一日成功運達至安布恩提以供船隻使用。PIM學校教師的在職訓練於十五日展開。現在是第二週了，更多想要受訓成為早期教育工作人員的人也來了，PIM及鄰近一些教會的房舍住滿了人。 

Our Level Three sewing training course started on the 13th. We have the class five afternoons per week. It is quite rewarding to see the participants learning much faster than before in pattern making. And I do want to award them for learning this task that is very challenging for them. This term, we are making gowns for the church choirs, starting with pattern making.  

我們第三級的縫紉訓練課程在十三日開始。一周上五個下午的課。很欣慰看到學員們學習製圖打版的速度比以前快很多。她們願意學習這項對她們而言挑戰性很大的技能，已是值得大大嘉獎。這一期，我們要從製圖打版開始，製作教會詩班袍。 

I am having a hard time readjusting to the hot weather. A fever started last Thursday. And now, I still need to stay in bed most of the time. When walking to the classroom, I need someone to hold my arms. We have had rainy days this week and the temperature has dropped 8℃. Now, we are enjoying 27℃. But it is too cold for the locals. A lot of people can catch a cold in this weather.

 
這次我重新適應燠熱不太順利，上星期四開始發燒。到現在，大部分的時間還是在臥床。走路到教室時，需要有人扶我。這星期下大雨了，氣溫下降八度。攝氏27度還蠻舒服的。然而，這對當地人說是太冷了，這樣的天氣會讓很多人感冒的。

1.   May God be in charge of the fuel crisis, currency policy, and economy development in PNG.
求神在新幾內亞的燃油危機、貨幣政策以及經濟發展中掌權。

2.   Due to the new banking policy of PNG, it has been taking long hours in banking work each week for PIM staff to transfer the funds and to withdraw in order to keep the ministries going. May God rule over the banking issue.  
由於新幾內亞新的銀行政策，PIM工作人員每週都要花很長時間在銀行處理資金的匯存及提領，才得以維持事工的運作。求神在銀行事務中掌權。

3.    I haven’t been able to use my PNG bank account on line for a couple months and was told my userID had been “expired”. Having been to the bank to deal with this issue, I still can’t reach my account. May God be in charge.
我已經兩個月無發上線使用我在新幾內亞的銀行帳號，銀行說我的使用者名稱「過期」。我去過銀行申請恢復，但目前還是沒有結果。求上帝在其中掌權。

4.   As I have been sick, Douglas has to do the cooking besides his heavy load of work. May God heal me and grant him good health.
我生病了，道格拉斯除了繁忙的工作外，還得負責煮食。求上帝醫治我，也賞賜給他健康的身體。

5.  We are going to leave Ambunti for Taiwan in the mid-February. May God grant me wisdom and strength in conducting the sewing training course in Ambunti and enable the participants to be skilled at the Level Three course before we leave.
我們將於二月中離開安布恩提，開始回台灣的路程。求上帝賞賜給Sandy智慧及力量，可以好好在安布恩提主領縫紉訓練課程。並使學員們得力，在我們出發前精通第三級縫紉課程。

6.   May our merciful God take care of my old parents, and grant them salvation, health, peace and joy.
願憐憫的上帝看顧Sandy年邁的父母，賞賜他們救恩、健康、平安及喜樂。

7.    May God watch over my brother’s family：remember their hard working and traveling, and bless their work and study.
願上帝看顧Sandy弟弟的家庭，記念他們的辛勤與奔波，賜福他們的工作與學業。
