Thank you for faithfully praying for us. We have had some rest during the Christmas holiday. All church members are safely back from Christmas conventions.
代禱勇士們，收信平安：
感謝你忠心地為我們禱告。我們在聖誕假期當中得到一些休息。教會弟兄姊妹參加聖誕節聯合聚會的也都安全回來了。
Being away for a few days, some of them came buy some fabrics from me and some came to talk to Douglas. We were told that the guest speaker of one of the conventions did not show up. He could not go as someone had run away with the money for the fuel. It’s hard to imagine but it’s true that fuel is a big issue in PNG. During the few-day-long holiday, Douglas has been asked of for fuel or money for fuel by several people. And if you hire a boat here, you must figure out if the price contains the cost of the fuel or not.
出門幾天回來後，他們有些人來向我買布料，有些人來找道格拉斯講話。有人告訴我們，其中一個聯合聚會的外請講員沒有出現。他到不了，因為有人把買燃油的錢捲逃了。很難想像吧？但燃油在新幾內亞是個大問題，這倒是真的。在短短幾天的假期裡，就有幾個人來找道格拉斯，不是向他要燃油，就是向他要錢買燃油。而且，如果您要在這裡租船的話，一定要問清楚對方給的價格包不包含燃油的費用。
This morning, I sold off all the fabrics I had brought from Wewak last month. This is the service I have provided since January this year. The stores here do not sell fabrics since they can’t afford to stock the fabrics. Women here need this service so that they have fabrics to make dresses to sell in the market and generate more income for the family. It’s too hard for them to make a shopping trip to Wewak since the transportation and accommodation is too expensive to them and they cannot afford to take the risk of robberies that might happen on the trip with a lot of fabrics. There are some risks for me, too, but I am glad to know that many of their works are also taken to sell in other villages along the Sepik River. Besides teaching them how to fish, the “fishing pole” God grants them through me is quite rewarding.
今天早上我把上個月從威瓦克帶來的布料都賣完了。這是我從今年一月開始提供的服務。這裡的商店不賣布料，因為承受不了囤貨的壓力。婦女們卻需要這項服務才會有布料可以做衣服在菜市場販售以改善家計。要到威瓦克採購一趟實在太難了，她們付不起交通費和住宿費，也承擔不起帶著大批布料在途中被搶的風險。我嘛…我也是要承擔風險的，但是很高興得知她們很多作品也被帶到希比克河沿岸其他村子裡販售。不但教她們如何釣魚，上帝透過我給她們的這支「釣魚竿」還是滿蠻值得的。
This is the final one of my 43 updates this year. I would like to thank God for His protection. And I would like to thank you for your support in prayers, too. God has brought me to a broader field of mission this year and shown me higher vision in serving in the mission field. And if you have been my prayer warrior for long enough, you must have realized that there is no more constant dizziness, chest tightness or palpitations that used to happen in the past years, and this is my healthiest year ever since I started writing updates in 2009.
這是我今年43則代禱通訊的最後一則。感謝上帝的保守，也感謝您的代禱支持。今年上帝帶領我來到更寬廣的禾場，也給我在宣教禾場事奉的更高視野。如果您是Sandy長期的代禱勇士的話，您應該也發現，一改過去的暈眩、胸悶、心悸，打從2009年我開始寫代禱通訊以來，今年是我身體最健康的一年。
Thou crownest the year with thy goodness;

1. May God be in charge of the fuel crisis in PNG.
願上帝在新幾內亞的燃油危機中掌權。
2. PIM has been having a project with The Education Department of PNG, distributing 100,000 copies of religious education textbooks to high schools in all provinces in PNG. May God bless the big job of distribution.
PIM與新幾內亞教育部已經展開合作方案，發送十萬份宗教教育教科書到各省的公立中學。求神保守此龐大的分發工作。
3. MAF (Mission Aviation Fellowship) has had three accidents this year. They are elevating the standard of requirements to the airstrips in the villages. May God bless them in enforcing their new regulation.
MAF（宣教飛行團契）今年發生了三起事故。 他們正在提高各村莊裡飛機跑道的要求標準。 願上帝保守他們執行新的規定。
4. May God grant Douglas wisdom in coordinating with our mission partners about their itineraries and accommodations for the trainings in January and February. 願上帝賞賜道格拉斯智慧，為一月份與二月份的許多訓練會與我們的宣教夥伴們做行程與住宿協調。
5. There are boat robberies in the area of East Sepik River reported again. May God’s grant His Divine Protection to us. 希比克河東部區域又傳出劫船盜匪事件。求神賞賜我們屬天的保護。
6. Douglas is to make a shopping trip to Australia. Therefore, we are going to leave Ambunti on Jan. 4th. May God bless us with safe flights.
道格拉斯有採購任務必須到澳洲，故此一月四日我們就必須從安布恩提出發。願神保守我們一路飛行順利。
7. May God remember Douglas’ hard working and bless him with good digestion and good health.
願上帝記念道格拉斯的工作辛勞，保守他有好的消化及健康的身體。
8. May God pave our path to renewing my work visa.
求神為Sandy工作簽證的續簽程序開路。
9.We have thunderstorms and extremely heavy rain at night these weeks. And, in this weather, I am badly bothered by countryside insect bites that I am quite sensitive to. May God heal me and protect me from skin inflammation.
這幾個星期夜裡常常雷電交加，暴雨連連。在這樣的氣候裡，Sandy的皮膚對鄉間蚊蟲叮咬反應過敏，十分困擾。求神醫治我，保護我免於皮膚炎症。
10. May God grant His mercy in my old parents’ financial needs, take care of them, and grant them salvation, health, peace and joy.
願神憐憫Sandy年邁父母的財務需要、看顧他們，賞賜他們救恩、健康、平安及喜樂。
11.My brother is having a hard time taking care of my parents whom are not communicable with. May God have mercy upon him.
Sandy的弟弟照顧無法溝通的父母，十分辛苦。願神憐憫他。
