Shalom, dear all!
Thank you for faithfully praying for us. Last Thursday, we got the answer from the Taiwan Office in PNG and informed that we have to do the application with the S.O.E. (Special Operation Executive) for the approval of entering PNG.
各位代禱勇士，收信平安。
感謝大家忠心為我們代禱。上星期四我們從台灣駐新幾內亞辦事處得知，我們要入境新幾內亞必須先申請得到S.O.E.(特別行動執行處)的許可。
Anyway Kellen and I have to pray about when to start the application because of the letter from the hospital I received on last Wednesday afternoon. The result of my periodical cancer screening showed that I needed to go to the hospital for the further check-up. Last Friday, with the help of two very enthusiastic friends of mine, I went to see a doctor who was a specialist. After reading the code given in the cancer screening result, he indicated that I had to receive medical treatments, or the virus might turn into cancer and threaten my life. The doctor arranged some more exams for me. But I have to wait until the 19th to get the result due to the Chinese New Year holidays.
然而因為我上星期三下午收到醫院寄來的信，Kellen和我必須禱告看看什麼時候開始申請SOE的入境許可：我的定期癌症篩檢報告顯示我需要到醫院做進一步檢查。上星期五，透過兩位熱心友人的幫忙，我去醫院看了一位很專門的醫師。醫師看了報告中的代碼給我指示，我必須接受治療，否則病毒會變成癌症造成生命的威脅。醫師也為我安排進一步的檢查，但是由於新年假期的緣故，我要等到19日才能看報告。
It seems what we have planned to do is totally interrupted by my medical problem. We will see what the doctor says on the 19th and decide if both of us apply for the SOE approval or Kellen has to go to PNG on her own. I believe that Jesus must have seen us toiling in rowing (Mark 6:48). And this time I must set my eyes upon Him and see Him “walking on the sea”. I hope you won’t miss it either. And this is why keeping writing my updates is part of my ministry.
看來我們的計劃徹底被我的健康問題攪亂了。我們要看看19日醫師怎麼說，再決定是我們兩人一起申請SOE的入境許可，還是這一趟要讓Kellen自己一個人去新幾內亞。我相信耶穌一定已經看到我們搖櫓甚苦(馬可福音6:48)，而且這一次我一定要張大眼睛看耶穌「在海上行走」。我希望您也不要錯過。這也是為什麼一直不斷地寫代禱信是我的事工之一。
And immediately he talked with them and said onto them,

4. On February 20th, we are going to conduct a cross-cultural mission workshop in a church in Kaohsiung. May God do His work among us.
二月20日我們在高雄的ㄧ所教會主領跨文化宣教工作坊，願神親自在我們當中作工。
5. May God be in charge of my medical exams and treatments.
願神在我所接受的醫學檢查及治療中掌權。
