Shalom, dear all!

Thank you for faithfully praying for us. I am getting used to the hand-peddled sewing machine. And we have decided to buy some of them for the sewing class as even in our apartment we have blackouts very often.

各位代禱勇士，收信平安。

感謝大家忠心代禱。我已經漸漸習慣使用手槳式縫紉機了，而且我們決定縫紉課用的縫紉機就買這一種；因為連我們住的房子都常常停電呢！

Our parcels arrived in PNG a month ago, but because of our ignorance, we failed to paid for the tax and were wondering why they hadn’t reach Wewak. With the help of the church friends in POM (the capital of PNG), the tax was paid this week and hopefully we will receive them soon. The parcels have lain there for a month!!! God’s mercy, we didn’t screw it up. We are like babies that we learn something new all the time to be able to settle down.

我們的後送行李一個月前就已經抵達新幾內亞了，然而我們不知道要付關稅，還一直納悶為什麼它們還沒抵達威瓦克。這個星期，在首都的教會朋友幫忙付關稅了，我們應該很快就可以收得到。這些包裹竟然在首都待了一個月！因著上帝的恩典，才免於搞砸。在安頓的過程當中，我們就像小孩一樣，總是在學習新的事物。

We used to read the Tok Pisin Bible that was translated basely on Good News Version. Recently we were encouraged to read the Tok Pisin translation that is based on King James Version. And that would be harder for us. As we have tidied our apartment, from this week on, Kellen and I read the Bible together, and we read it with three versions: Chinese Union Version, King James Version, and King Jems Pisin Baibel. At times I find that the Tok Pisin translation tells me something in the Bible that I didn’t notice. For example, for “Remember me, Oh, Lord”, the Tok Pisin would say, “Hold your mind upon me, oh, Lord.” It’s touching, isn’t it?

我們過去都是讀英文福音版聖經翻譯過來的皮欽語聖經，這一躺來，牧師鼓勵大家讀英王欽定本翻譯過來的皮欽語譯本，這個版本對我們來說有點難。所以，既然家裡打掃好了，這個星期開始我跟Kellen又開始一起讀聖經了，三個版本一起讀：中文和合本、英王欽定本，還有英王欽定皮欽語聖經。有時我會發現皮欽語聖經幫助我找到一些聖經中我過去沒有注意到的部分：譬如，「主啊！記念我！」皮欽語會說「主啊！將意念把持於我！」很感人吧？

We haven’t found a car to buy yet. Our church pastor got the information that there were two cars for sale and they were the type of car we needed. He drove us to the dealer, went under the cars and took photos, and taught us many things about buying a car in Wewak. It’s hard in PNG due to the freight and the tax; and it’s even harder in Wewak due to very high domestic freight. Some other friends are also helping us look for a suitable and affordable car. We would like to invite you to help through prayers, too. God will do His work, and we shall all witness God’s work and rejoice together.

至今我們還是沒能買到車。教會的牧師得到消息，知道有適合我們的車子要出售，就載我們去看車，還鑽到車底拍照，又傳授給我們在威瓦克買車應該注意的考慮事項。由於關稅跟運費，在新幾內亞買車並不容易；又由於昂貴的境內運費，在威瓦克買車又更難了。也有其他朋友正在幫忙找適合又買得起的車子，在此我們邀請您也用禱告來一起幫忙。神自有安排，咱們將一起見證神的工作並且一同歡喜快樂。

1. 3 DHL parcels of ours are on the way to Wewak. May God make them come safely.
我們有三件DHL包裹會寄到威瓦克來。求神保守它們順利寄達。

2. May God guide us in buying a car and figuring out the tax.
求神引導我們買車以及弄清楚稅務問題。

3. Kellen is having a great pain on her shoulder, back, and knee on the righthand side. And she is also having a cold due to the strong winds these days. May God heal her.
Kellen的右半邊肩膀、腰、膝十分疼痛。這幾天來，一直狂風大作，怕吹風的她也因此感冒了。求神醫治她。

4. May God take care of our old parents, grant them salvation, health, peace and joy
願神看顧我們年邁的父母，賞賜他們救恩、健康、平安及喜樂。
