Happy Chinese New Year! Thank you for faithfully praying for us. Douglas and I have fully recovered from our flu. Thank God that the wound on Douglas' shin didn’t end up inflammations this time.
代禱勇士們，收信平安：
春節快樂!!! 感謝您忠心為我們禱告。道格拉斯和我感冒都好了。感謝主，道格拉斯脛部的傷口這次沒遭感染。

The tribal fights among villages in the middle Sepik River area have all ceased and life is back to normal. All of the students in the sewing training course have come back except the one who is attending the boarding school in Maprik. All the past disturbs remind us that we should treasure all opportunities that we are allowed to learn, worship, and fellowship as they are all out of God’s grace.

希比克河中游流域村落間的族群打鬥都已經消停，大家的生活也恢復了正常。縫紉訓練課程的學生都回籠了。只有一位原本上函授學校的學員現在要到馬普利上寄宿學校，不能繼續上縫紉課程。過去的動盪提醒我們要珍惜可以學習、敬拜及團契的機會，這都是神的恩典。

I am touched by the women in South Sea Evangelical Church (SSEC) in Ambunti: For the past year, women in Ambunti and some other nearby villages who would like to learn sewing have flowed to Ambunti SSEC as the pastors’ wives in other churches have their own burden of life and are not able to develop sewing ministries. Beverly, the pastor’s wife, and all the Ambuni SSEC women have cheerfully accepted them. Even in the most difficult time for each family, the Ambunti SSEC women have never stopped their desire or action in fund raising for their church generator, selling produces from their gardens, works of their sewing, and traditional woven bags that they have made by hand, as they do want to well develop the sewing ministries of Dorcas Fellowship in the church. With the fund they have raised and some help from supporters, they have reached 14% of the goal of fund raising. Let’s keep praying for them.
安布恩提南海福音教會(SSEC)的婦女們很令我感動：過去一年來，安布恩提及鄰近村落裡想要學縫紉的婦女都到安布恩提SSEC來學，因為其他教會的師母們有各自生活的難處而無法發展縫紉事工。貝芙琳師母和安布恩提SSEC的婦女們就高高興興地接納她們來學。甚至在各家生活最困難的時候，安布恩提SSEC的婦女都沒有停止為教會購買發電機募款的念想與行動，因為她們希望能夠好好在教會發展多加團契的縫紉事工。看她們靠著販售自家農產品、縫紉作品以及自己做的傳統手工織袋，同心協力在集資。她們自己存到的錢，加上一些支持者的幫助，現在已經達到集資目標的百分之十四了。我們繼續為她們禱告加油吧！

For Douglas’ shopping safety in Wewak, I learned from YouTube and figured out how to sew zippers to trouser pockets the other day. And I made some further improvement on what I had learned from YouTube. As besides Beverlyn, Jennifer who is a single mother with six children has also become the main teacher of the sewing ministries of Dorcas Fellowship in Ambunti SSEC, I taught the two of them how to sew zippers to trouser pockets, too. Hopefully, through this technique, the two of them are able to find some income from those who often travel to Wewak. I also got a chance to listen to them and understand their restriction in life-making, how hard it is for them to afford a trip, and how dangerous it is for women to go to other villages in which there are potential opportunities for business. I don’t think we missionaries help the locals more than what we have learned about life from them. It is merely accompany and establish one another.
前幾天，為了增進道格拉斯在威瓦克的購物安全，我從 YouTube學習到如何在現有的褲子口袋上加縫拉鍊，並且把學到的技術改良一番。考慮到除了貝芙琳之外，有六個孩子的單親媽媽珍妮芙也成為了安布恩提 SSEC 多加團契縫紉事工的主要教師，我也將這個手藝教給她們兩個人，希望透過這項技術，她們兩個人能夠從那些經常去威瓦克辦事情的人身上獲得一些收入。我因此有機會多一些傾聽她們的心聲，了解她們營生的限制、她們有多麼難負擔得起旅費、以及婦女去其它有潛在商機的村莊是多麼危險。我真不覺得我們宣教士對當地人的幫助多於我們從他們身上學習到的人生功課。只能說是彼此陪伴，互相建立。

The former pastor’s family in AOG Church Ambunti left in the end of last year. The new pastor and his family came this month. Mrs. Carson, who is one of the participants in my sewing training course, would like to talk to the new pastor’s wife about developing the sewing ministries of Dorcas Fellowship in AOG Church, hoping to share the burden of Ambunti SSEC. In this situation, I, as a missionary, would not involve myself in church decision making, but equip God’s people according to Bible teaching. Mrs. Carson’s idea is out of good will and Beverlyn and I are happy to see it happen but let’s pray for God’s Will be done.
安布恩提神召會前牧師的家人於去年底離開。新牧師和他的家人這個月來了。卡森太太（我縫紉訓練課程的學員之一）想要和新來的牧師娘談談在安布恩提神召會發展多加團契縫紉事工，希望能分擔安布恩提SSEC的負擔。在這種情況下，身為宣教士的我只是依照聖經的教訓成全聖徒，不會參與也不會建議教會的決策。卡森夫人的想法是出於善意，貝芙琳和我會很高興看到成事，但我們衷心祈禱上帝的旨意成全。

1. In the highlands in PNG, at least 17 tribes have been involved in a biggest fight ever, and a severe massacre occurred on the 19th. May God grant the PNG government wisdom in ceasing the tribal fighting.
19日在新幾內亞高原地區發生有史以來最大規模的打鬥，至少有17個部族加入爭鬥，造成慘重的殺戮(各家新聞報導的傷亡人數大大不同，從26人到150人)。願神賞賜新幾內亞政府智慧以平定這場部族爭鬥。

2. PIM has been having a project with The Education Department of PNG, distributing 100,000 copies of religious education textbooks to high schools in all provinces in PNG. May God bless the big job of distribution.
PIM與新幾內亞教育部已經展開合作方案，發送十萬份宗教教育教科書到各省的公立中學。求神保守此龐大的分發工作。

3. MAF (Mission Aviation Fellowship) has had three accidents last year. They are elevating the standard of requirements to the airstrips in the villages. May God bless them in enforcing their new regulation.
MAF（宣教飛行團契）去年發生了三起事故。他們正在提高各村莊裡飛機跑道的要求標準。願上帝保守他們執行新的規定。

4. May God bless the on-going sewing training course, training teachers who are doing the sewing ministries in the Dorcas Fellowship in the local churches: giving Sandy and all the participants good health, wisdom, patient and joy.
求神保守目前在進行的縫紉訓練課程(教會裡多加團契種子教師的培訓)，給Sandy以及所有的學員足夠的健康、智慧、耐心及喜樂。

5. May God grant Mrs. Carson wisdom in developing relationship with the new pastor’s wife in AOG Church in Ambunti, and enable to work in unity concerning the sewing ministry in the Dorcas Fellowship in AOG Church.
求神賞賜卡森太太智慧可與新來的牧師娘建立好關係，在發展安布恩提神召會多加團契縫紉事工上可以同心。

6. May God give me wisdom in efficiently helping the ladies here in long term with pricy sewing resource like sewing machines and tailors’ rulers.
求神給Sandy智慧有效且長效地幫助這裡的婦女解決昂貴的縫紉物資的問題，譬如縫紉機及裁縫尺。

7. May God remember Beverlyn’s & Jennifer’s hearts in serving Him in the sewing ministry, and provide their families with their needs.
求神記念貝芙琳和珍妮芙在縫紉事工事奉祂的用心，供應她們家庭的需要。

8. May God bless the work of the Women’s fellowship in South Sea Evangelical Church in Ambunti at raising fund for the generator.
求神記念並賜福安布恩提南海福音教會婦女團契為發電機募款的努力。

9. May God remember Douglas’ hard working and bless him with good health.

10. We have heard bad news about my work visa renewing process. It seems what we have worked on it over the months is in vain. May God pave our path to renewing my work visa.
我們得知工作簽證的結果是壞消息，好幾個月的努力似乎是白費了。求神為Sandy工作簽證的續簽程序開路。

11. May God grant His mercy in my old parents’ financial needs, take care of them, and grant them salvation, health, peace and joy.
願神憐憫Sandy年邁父母的財務需要、看顧他們，賞賜他們救恩、健康、平安及喜樂。

12. May God watch over my brother’s family：remember their hard working and traveling, and bless their work and study.
