Shalom, dear all!
Thank you for faithfully praying for us. Douglas finally finished the annual report last week and mailed the hard copies of 90 pages to the board members on Thursday. The board’s meeting will be held on the 28th of October. After that, we will be able to throw more thought in organizing our trip of visiting friends and relatives in the USA.
各位代禱勇士，收信平安。
感謝你忠心地為我們禱告。 道格拉斯上周終於完成了年度報告，並於週四將90頁的報告郵寄給理監事會成員。理監事會將於10月28日舉行。之後，我們將能夠投入心思安排我們在美國探親訪友的行程。
Douglas’ son, Chris, threw a party in his house last Saturday because he had heard that my birthday was approaching. Douglas’ the other two children who lived in Reno area, and their families, and some relatives and friends came along. We enjoyed kabab of deer, chicken, and vegetables, and some other dishes from each family. The deer meat was brought back by Chris from Douglas’ eldest son, Sam, who lives in Hawaii as Chris’ family visited Sam and his wife earlier this month. The 75 beef stuffed buns I made for the party were liked by everyone, too. This is the first time my birthday was celebrated by so many people. When Sam called us on Sunday afternoon, he asked how I coped with such a big family. And he sounded very happy and released when he heard me answered “I am okay. Everyone loves me, and I feel accepted.”
道格拉斯的兒子克里斯聽說我的生日快到了，上週六就在他家舉辦了一個派對。 道格拉斯的另外兩個住在里諾地區的孩子，以及他們的家人，以及一些親戚和朋友都來了。我們喜嚐了鹿肉、雞肉和蔬菜的串燒，以及每個家庭帶來的一些菜餚。鹿肉是克里斯從道格拉斯的大兒子山姆那裡帶回來的，山姆住在夏威夷，克里斯的家人本月初去看山姆和他的妻子。我為派對做的75個牛肉餡包子也受到大家的喜愛。這是我第一次被這麼多人慶祝生日。當山姆在周日下午打電話給我們時，他問我這麼大的家庭，我適應得如何。當他聽到我回答：「我可以呀！大家都很愛我，我感到被接納。」他的語氣聽起來很開心也很放心。
Douglas and I have had frequent changes of residency since we got married. He is used to it, but I have problems with that. I would take me time to remember the maps of the rooms of each house. And when I wake up in a room with photos of people I don’t know, I would be terrified. As we will be moving to somewhere else next month, after having stayed with Dan and Bev for quite a few weeks, I am bringing my concern to God. I am wondering if Jesus had problems in changing residency so often. He seemed to move up and down very often, didn’t he? He said that he didn’t have a place to lay his head while foxes had dens and birds had nests. Reading this, I know Jesus understands my difficulties, and I believe his grace is always sufficient. Actually, we are blessed that we are always provided sufficient bedding in where we stay. Douglas is 203cm in height. That is 6ft 8in. And we should not take it for granted not to have to squeeze in a 5ft x 6ft bed, should we?
自從我們結婚以來，道格拉斯和我經常更換住處。他已經習慣了，但我有問題。我必須花一段時間才能記住每棟房子房間的地圖。當我在一個房間裡醒來，看見牆上很多照片都是我不認識的人，我會感到害怕。算來我們在丹尼爾和蓓芙琳家也住了好幾個星期了，下個月要搬到其他地方，我把我的擔憂帶到上帝面前。我想著耶穌如此頻繁地改變住處是否有問題。祂似乎經常遷徙，不是嗎？祂說，狐狸有洞，雀鳥有窩，而祂卻沒有枕頭的地方。讀到這裡，我知道耶穌理解我的困難，我相信祂的恩典總是足夠的。實際上，我們很蒙福，在我們住的地方總是有足夠的床具。道格拉斯身高203釐米，也就是6英尺8英寸。而我們不必擠進一張5英尺x 6英尺的床，這樣的恩典不能當作是理所當然，不是嗎？

1. May God give guidance to Meni Beach Baptist Church Wewak PNG in developing the ministry of making sanitary napkins for school girls and women who newly give a birth in the hospital. (The two pastors’ wives are figuring out how to get the fabrics that are suitable, affordable, and available.)
目前兩位師母正在尋求適用、買得起並且買得到的布料。求神引導新幾內亞威瓦克濱海浸信會發展衛生巾製作的事工(用以贈送給女學生以及醫院裡剛剛生下小孩的婦女。)
2. May God give confidence and willingness to those who have received Level One sewing training in Ambunti PNG that they will all use what they have been trained for developing Dorcas fellowship in their churches, and they will be better prepared for receiving Level Two sewing training.
求神將信心及願做的心賞賜給新幾內亞安布恩提接受過第一級縫紉訓練的婦女，使她們運用所學在教會推動多加團契，也好使她們更能預備好接受第二級縫紉訓練。
3. The annual board’s meeting of PIM is going to take place on October 28th. May God bless their stewardship.
太島宣教事工年度理監事會議將於十月二十八日舉行，願神恩待他們作好管家。
4. ouglas and I have to drive over the mountains to and from home and the office every week, passing some construction sites. May God keep us safe in the journey.
道格拉斯和Sandy每周必須開車翻山越嶺往返住處與辦公室，並行經施工路段，求神保守行車平安。
5. I am supposed to make a major alternation with my website due to the switch of my identity. May God grant me His Divine Guidance.
由於身分的改變，Sandy的網頁必須於近期做出重大的改版，求神賞賜屬天的智慧。
6. May God make me a blessing to people I encounter when I am in the US, and make what I say and how I live deliver His message.
願神使用Sandy在美國期間成為周遭人的祝福，透過所說的話以及所過的生活來傳達祂的信息。
7. May God give us wisdom in planning our trip to visit relatives and friends in the USA.
願神賞賜給我們智慧規劃在美國探親訪友的行程。
8. May God take care of my old parents, grant them salvation, health, peace and joy.
願神看顧Sandy年邁的父母，賞賜他們救恩、健康、平安及喜樂。
