Thank you for faithfully praying for us. Douglas has arrived in Reno, Nevada. And my sewing course in Ambunti started7 yesterday.
代禱勇士們，收信平安：
感謝你忠心地為我們禱告。道格拉斯已經抵達內華達州的里諾。而我在安布恩提的縫紉班昨天也開課了。
Douglas has left Ambunti for a week. I have encountered some challenges during the past few days. Thank God for His provision and protection that brought me through difficulties: Though I go to the market nearly every day, it’s hard to find greeneries in the market. On the days I came back from the market with empty bags, some women would give me some vegetables picked from their own gardens. Merolyn who accompanies me at night woke up with a sore in her ankle on Friday morning. It must have been very painful for her to walk. I told her to rest at home and not to come to me in the evening. But she still came, walking with a limp. Douglas and I prayed for her about the sore at our online devotion. Thanks to God that Merolyn found her sore disappear when she woke up the next morning. Besides, thousands of ants in my bed mattress and the harassment from a creepy man who tried to get into the house were sorted out by PIM staff soon. However, that creepy man keeps coming, asking to see Douglas. The staff would drive him away when they see him. And I have to go with a bush knife whenever I leave the house by myself.
道格拉斯已經離開安布恩提一個星期了。在過去的幾天裡，我遇到了一些挑戰。感謝上帝的供應和保護，一一安然渡過：雖然我幾乎每天都去市場，但在市場上很難找到綠色蔬菜。在我帶著空袋子從市場回來的日子裡，有些婦女會給我一些從自己的園子裡採摘的蔬菜。晚上陪我的梅若琳在週五早上醒來時腳踝長了一個瘡。她走路一定很痛。我告訴她在家裡休息，晚上不要來我這裡了。但她還是來了，走路一瘸一拐。道格拉斯和我網路通訊靈修時為她長瘡的事情代禱。感謝上帝，梅若琳第二天早上醒來時發現她的瘡消失了。此外，我的床墊不知怎地成了螞蟻窩，還有一個試圖進入房子的怪男子帶來的騷擾，這些很快就被PIM工作人員解決了。只是那個怪男子還是時不時跑來吵著要找道格拉斯，工作人員看到就把他趕走，我現在獨自出門時都得帶著開山刀。
As Douglas is not with me in Ambunti, I have tried something local that he would never try, such as eating turtles, pumpking and sweet potatoes cooked with something red called “alan” that looks like spit of betel nut, vegetables called “kuabi lip” that is as rough as scouring pads, and learning to use ancient salt…. PNG is a country full of treasure.
由於道格拉斯不和我在安布恩提，我嘗試了他絕對不會嘗試的東西，像是吃烏龜、用一種像檳榔汁紅咚咚叫做「阿嵐」的東西一起煮的南瓜和番薯、一種跟菜瓜布一樣粗糙叫做「寬比」的蔬菜，還有學習使用新幾內亞「古早鹽」…新幾內亞真是充滿寶藏的國家。
The sewing course this time is much more challenging than the ones before. For some reason, I have to accept a participant that can’t read or write and even never drew anything. She insists that she comes to the Level 2 course but she refuses to learn to draft the pattern. What can I do about it? Having prayed with anxiety, I didn’t have any idea until I did stand in front of the participants and start the class. When we had the usual 30 min devotion at the beginning of the class, instead of telling a Bible story and then making everyone share what they learned from it, I persuaded these women who were too shy to draw into drawing a stick man, and then a stick woman…., step by step, we eventually finished drawing the storyboard for the first scene of the story of the birth of Jesus. With great joy and sense of achievement, the participant who couldn’t read or write was persuaded into learning how to use a tailor’s ruler. This was her first time of drawing lines with a ruler according to the correct measurement. She was happy about it, and I was honored to be there with a grateful heart toward God.
這次的縫紉課程比以前的課程挑戰性大多。出於某種原因，我得接受一個不會讀寫甚至從未畫過任何東西的學員。她堅持要來參加第二級課程，但她拒絕學習製作服裝版圖。我該怎麼辦？我一直不安地禱告，還是想不出甚麼辦法，直到我站在所有學員面前開始上課。我們在課程開始時按例有30分鐘靈修，以往我會講一個聖經故事，然後大家分享心得。這次我說服這些很害羞不敢畫圖的婦女畫一個火柴人，然後畫一個火柴女......，一步一步，我們最終完成了耶穌誕生故事第一個場景的分鏡圖。帶著極大的喜悅和成就感，那位不會讀寫的學員被說服開始學習如何使用裁縫尺。這是她第一次根據正確的測量值用尺畫線。她對此感到高興，我也感謝上帝讓我能榮幸參與在其中。

2. Douglas is in charge of ministries of PIM in Ambunti, Wewak and the USA, working day and night with multi-tasks. May God bless him with good health. 道格拉斯主理PIM在安布恩提、威瓦克及美國的眾多事工，身兼多職、日夜工作。求神保守他身體健康。
3. May God bless PIM’s project with The Education Department of PNG, distributing 100,000 copies of religious education textbooks to high schools in all provinces in PNG. 願上帝賜福PIM與新幾內亞教育部與的合作方案，發送十萬份宗教教育教科書到各省的公立中學。
4. The application documents of my work visa had been misplaced by the government department. And the agent has resent them. May God pave our path. Sandy 的工作簽證申請文件被政府部門弄丟了，代辦員已經重新呈交文件，求神開路。
5. May God grant me His divine protection, keeping me away from all harms and all fears. 願神賞賜Sandy屬天的保護，保守Sandy遠離災害與懼怕。
6. I was too weak to finish the class and had to lie down and rest during the class on Monday. May God grant me enough strength for the sewing course. 星期一’Sandy身體太虛弱，還沒下課就必須躺下休息。求神賞賜好體力，能夠好好上完課。
7. May God heal Douglas’ cough and aching muscles. 願上帝醫治道格拉斯的咳嗽及肌肉疼痛。
8. It is the most stressful time of the year for Douglas, getting all the reports ready for the year-end board’s meeting of PIM. May God bless him with good health. 現在是一年當中道格拉斯亞力最大的時候，要預備PIM開年終董事會的資料與報告。願神保守他身體健康。
9. My dad is in hospital now. May God grant His mercy in my old parents’ financial needs, take care of them, and grant them salvation, health, peace and joy.家父還在住院。願神憐憫Sandy年邁父母的財務需要、看顧他們，賞賜他們救恩、健康、平安及喜樂。
