Thank you for faithfully praying for us. Our days in the USA are quite fully occupied, but we have overcome the jet lag and our bodies have adopted the time zone. We have been on track with church, too.
代禱勇士們，收信平安：
感謝您忠心為我們禱告。雖然在美國的日子十分忙碌，我們還是調好了時差，身體適應了這個時區。我們的教會生活也已經上軌道了。
During the first 10 days of our stay in the USA, we have stayed in a motel in Reno for half of it; and in the PIM office in Grass Valley for the other half. For people like us who don’t normally eat out, staying in a motel can be challenging as there is not a kitchen but a microwave. Anyway, with a microwave in the motel room and a mini soya milk maker I had purchased online, I made 23 different dishes during our five days of staying in the motel. It was quite an exploring. Thank God for giving us creativity that is far beyond our imagination. He is the Creator, and human were made in His image, aren’t we.
我們在美國本土的頭十天，一半的日子住在里諾的一家汽車旅館，一半的時間住在葛雷斯瓦利(意譯：草谷)的PIM辦公室。汽車旅館只有微波爐，沒有廚房。這對於像我們這樣平常不外食的人，住著有些挑戰。然而，就著旅館裡的微波爐和一個我在網上購買的迷你豆漿機，還是在五天住旅館的日子裡變出23道料理。很奇妙的體驗。感謝神給我們超乎自己想像的創意。祂是萬物的創造者，而我們人類是按著祂的形象造的，不是嗎？
I have known since 1992 that I am not a good traveler or good at living out of a suitcase. Being a missionary had never been in my intending career development. Therefore, trusting in God and learning lessons what God teaches me in life is essential to me. And God has been always generous in inspiring me with what happen in life. It is a 90-minute-long drive between Reno and Grass Valley. When I was last here at the end of 2022, there were quite a few dangerous sharp turns on Highway No.20. And there were some on-going construction works for straightening the most dangerous part of the road, digging up the mountains and filling up the valleys. We couldn’t understand how it would come out into a straightened road but just trusted that the experts knew what they were doing. Now, it is pleasant to see the work completed and the road straightened. It is so much safer that Douglas feels okay for me to drive on it. We all have to admit that we are not experts in life, are we? There are construction works on going in our life. Let’s trust God doing His work.
從1992年開始，我就很清楚自己不適合旅行，也不適應打包行李上路又打開行李度日的生活。當宣教士也從來不是我意圖職涯發展的一部份。因此，信靠神並且學習神透過生活教導我的功課，對我這樣的人而言十分必要。而神也從不吝於透過生活大小事給我啟發。 我們從里諾開車到葛雷斯瓦利費時90分鐘。我上次於2022年尾來的時候，20號公路有好幾處危險急銳彎道，最危險路段的截彎取直工程那時正在進行。又是挖山又是填谷的，很難看出這叫做截彎取直，只能相信專家自有行道。如今喜見工程完畢，道路變直了很多很多，比以前安全多了。連道格拉斯都放心讓我開車。我們都得承認我們不是生命的專家，是吧？我們的生命有多有施工中的時候，咱們得相信上帝自有其道。

1. PNG government is short of US Dollars for buying fuel. The chain effects have caused a sharp rise in prices and other social issues. May God help PNG government in sorting out the currency issue and the fuel crisis.
新幾內亞政府缺乏購買燃油的美元。 其連鎖效應導致物價大幅上漲及其他社會問題。 願上帝幫助新幾內亞政府解決貨幣問題及燃油危機。
2. Mission Aviation Fellowship is facing severe shortage of manpower, aircrafts and fuel. May God has His mercy on the great aviation needs of missionaries in PNG.
宣教飛行團契正面對人力、飛機及燃油的嚴重短缺，願上帝憐憫在新幾內亞宣教士們的大量飛行需要。
3. PIM has been having a project with The Education Department of PNG, distributing 100,000 copies of religious education textbooks to high schools in all provinces in PNG. May God bless the big job of distribution.
PIM與新幾內亞教育部已經展開合作方案，發送十萬份宗教教育教科書到各省的公立中學。求神保守此龐大的分發工作。
4. May God grant Douglas wisdom and strength in preparing for the board’s meeting of PIM USA that is going to take place in May 10th.
道格拉斯正為五月10日要舉行的PIM美國理監事會做準備，求神賞賜給他智慧與力量。
5. Besides the tasks in the USA, Douglas is handling the tasks of PIM happening in PNG, working day and night. May God remember his hard-working and bless him with good health.
道格拉斯日夜工作，除了處理美國PIM的事務，同時也要掌握PIM在新幾內亞正在進行的各項事務。求神記念他的辛勞，賞賜給他健康的身體。
6. May God grant wisdom and patience to the trained women in the sewing training course in developing the sewing ministries of Dorcas Fellowship in South Sea Evangelical Church in Ambnuti and the AOG Church in Ambunti.
求神保守在縫紉訓練課程受訓的學員，讓她們有智慧及耐心在《安布恩提南海福音教會》及《安布恩提神召會》發展多加團契縫紉事工。
7. May God give me wisdom in efficiently helping the ladies here in long term with pricy sewing resource.
求神給Sandy智慧有效且長效地幫助這裡的婦女解決縫紉物資的問題。
8. May God remember Beverlyn’s & Jennifer’s hearts in serving Him in the sewing ministry, and provide their families with their needs.
求神記念貝芙琳和珍妮芙在縫紉事工事奉祂的用心，供應她們家庭的需要。
9. May God bless the work of the Women’s fellowship in South Sea Evangelical Church in Ambunti at raising fund for the generator.
求神記念並賜福安布恩提南海福音教會婦女團契為發電機募款的努力。
10. May God pave our path to renewing my work visa.
求神為Sandy工作簽證的續簽程序開路。
11. May God grant His mercy in my old parents’ financial needs, take care of them, and grant them salvation, health, peace and joy.
願神憐憫Sandy年邁父母的財務需要、看顧他們，賞賜他們救恩、健康、平安及喜樂。
12. May God watch over my brother’s family：remember their hard working and traveling, and bless their work and study.
願神看顧Sandy弟弟的家庭，記念他們的辛勤與奔波，賜福他們的工作與學業。
