Shalom, dear all!
Thank you for faithfully praying for us. We had safe journeys to and back from Tongajamb, and came back to Ambunti on Monday morning. Douglas gave sermons in the seven services of the Easter convention in Tangajamb.
代禱勇士們，收信平安：
感謝您忠心為我們禱告。 我們去當格將往返旅途平安，並於週一早上返回安布恩提。 道格拉斯在當格將的複活節特會七場崇拜中佈道。
We were accommodated in a teacher's house of PIM elementary school near the river. The villagers were very generous to us and gave us a lot of food. And I managed to cook some delicious dishes in a bush house kitchen. Food cooked on a firewood stove was empowered with a smokey flavor.
我們被安排住在PIM 小學位於河邊的教師宿舍裡，村民們很慷慨地給我們很多食物，我也想辦法在叢林建材的廚房裏煮出美味的料理。用柴火灶煮的食物就是賦有煙燻的美味。
The water was high and it was not so spacial like Ambunti. So, there were a scary number of mosquitoes that even intruded into the mosquito net.
正值水位高漲的季節且那裏並不像安布恩提一般空曠，蚊子多得嚇人，甚至蚊帳裡也有許多蚊子。
The church was on top of the hill. We had quite a lot of hike going to church. It was challenging for me to go up and down the steep hill, but I was well protected by Douglas and the PIM staff who went to Tongahamb with us. With four days of network-free time there, we had a specially concentrating Easter weekend to meditate Jesus' being crucified and His rising from death.
當地的教堂建在山頂上，上教堂得爬一段很陡峭的山路。這對我來說是一大挑戰，但是道格拉斯和同行的幾位PIM同工把我保護得很好。在當格將四天沒有網路的時光，我們特別能在這復活節期默想耶穌的受死及復活。
On Tuesday afternoon, the next day of our arrival to Ambunti, we got a notice from the agent : I was supposed to pay a 1,300 USD penalty for my over stay and leave the country in seven days. Well, we started my work visa application one year ago, and the work permit was granted when we last went to POM in March. For some complicated issues, the immigration would still not grant me the work visa.
在星期二下午，也就是我們回到安布恩提的隔天，我們收到代辦人通知我們，我必須繳交一千三百美元的逾期居留罰金，且要在七天內離境。我早在一年以前就開始申請更新工作簽證。三月份我們去首都時，我的工作許可已經核發下來。然而，有一些複雜的人複雜的事導致移民局還沒核發我的工作簽證。
As soon as receiving the notice, we started packing again, making contact for the boat, car, flight and accommodation. It's challenging physically to make so much rough travel in ten days. We were having the boat ride and the car ride in the rain to Wewak today (Wednesday). Thank God that our luggage didn't get wet. And we are so thankful that we were in a hired Landcruiser instead of the PIM van in this weather. (Douglas was driving, and we had the driver stay in the back seat.)
一收到通知，我們立刻開始再次打包、聯絡安排船、車、飛機及住宿。我們十天當中經歷這麼多顛簸的旅程，對身體是很不容易的。今天(星期三)我們在雨中行船搭車。感謝神，行李有保護好，沒有弄濕。而且，真的很感恩，我們這次開的是雇來的越野車，不是在這種天氣路況中開著PIM的麵包車。（ 只是讓司機在後座當乘客，由道格拉斯開車）
We are still deciding which country we are going to wait for my work visa. It's cheapest to go to Australia. But the Australia e-visa application requires sensing the chip buried in the passport with the cellphone. And unfortunately, my passport was confiscated by the immigration and will not be returned until the time I am leaving.
我們還沒決定好要到哪個國家等我的工作簽證。最便宜的方案是到澳洲，但是申請澳洲的電子簽證需要用手機感應護照封頁裡的晶片。問題是，移民局沒收了我的護照，要在我離境時才還給我。
I was frustrated yesterday as l had been hoping our life would be back to normal. Pouring it all out to God about my frustrations, I was reminded in my prayers that it's time for me to learn the lesson of not seeking for satisfaction from living a so-called “normal life”. After telling God that I was willing to learn this lesson, I became released and started feeling free.
昨天我還蠻沮喪的，因為這陣子實在很希望生活恢復正常，我就跟上帝傾倒垃圾一番。在禱告中我被提醒了，是時候我該學習一個 “別想要從所謂「正常的生活」找到滿足感”的功課。我對上帝說我願意學習這個功課，然後我就被釋放了，感到很自由。
…for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am,
therewith to be content.
I know both how to be abased,
and I know how to abound:
every where and in all things
I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry,
both to abound and to suffer need.

Last night, Douglas was wakened up by an emergency phone call from the PIM center in Wewak: Our mission house was broken into by 8 men with shotguns!!! The missionary couple staying in the house must have had a great shock. Thankfully, nobody got injured and the other flats in the center were packed with enough men to make enough shouting noises to scare away the intruders who were not very experienced robbers.
昨天半夜，道格拉斯接到PIM在威瓦克的基地打來的緊急電話：有八名持槍的搶匪闖入我們的宣教士宿舍房子裡！！！待在裡面的一對宣教士夫婦一定嚇壞了。感謝上帝，沒有人員受傷。而且基地裡的其它房舍都客滿了，有夠多的弟兄夠大聲嚷嚷把這些不太有經驗的年輕搶匪嚇跑。
We are flying to POM again tomorrow and see if we can talk the immigration into letting us have our phone sense the chip in my passport. Or we might have to go to Singapore for my work visa.
我們明天要再次搭機到首都莫斯比港，看看是否能說服移民局容許我們用手機在我的護照上感應一下。如果不行的話，我們可能要去新加坡等我的工作簽證。

1. PNG government is short of US Dollars for buying fuel. The chain effects have caused a sharp rise in prices and other social issues. May God help PNG government in sorting out the currency issue and the fuel crisis.

2. Mission Aviation Fellowship is facing severe shortage of manpower, aircrafts and fuel. May God has His mercy on the great aviation needs of missionaries in PNG.
宣教飛行團契正面對人力、飛機及燃油的嚴重短缺，願上帝憐憫在新幾內亞宣教士們的大量飛行需要。
3. PIM has been having a project with The Education Department of PNG, distributing 100,000 copies of religious education textbooks to high schools in all provinces in PNG. May God bless the big job of distribution.
PIM與新幾內亞教育部已經展開合作方案，發送十萬份宗教教育教科書到各省的公立中學。求神保守此龐大的分發工作。
4. May God comfort the missionary couple staying in the mission house of the PIM center in Wewak and enable them to recover from the shock .
求神安慰正住在PIM在威瓦克基地的宣教士宿舍的一對宣教士夫婦，讓他們從震驚中恢復過來。
5. May God grant wisdom and patience to the trained women in the sewing training course in developing the sewing ministries of Dorcas Fellowship in South Sea Evangelical Church in Ambnuti and the AOG Church in Ambunti.
求神保守在縫紉訓練課程受訓的學員，讓她們有智慧及耐心在《安布恩提南海福音教會》及《安布恩提神召會》發展多加團契縫紉事工。
6. May God give me wisdom in efficiently helping the ladies here in long term with pricy sewing resource.
求神給Sandy智慧有效且長效地幫助這裡的婦女解決縫紉物資的問題。
7. May God remember Beverlyn’s & Jennifer’s hearts in serving Him in the sewing ministry, and provide their families with their needs.
求神記念貝芙琳和珍妮芙在縫紉事工事奉祂的用心，供應她們家庭的需要。
8. May God bless the work of the Women’s fellowship in South Sea Evangelical Church in Ambunti at raising fund for the generator.
求神記念並賜福安布恩提南海福音教會婦女團契為發電機募款的努力。
9. Douglas and I are extremely worn out by the recent rough journeys. May God restore us.
道格拉斯和我因近來的路途顛簸極度疲累，願上帝使我們重新得力。
10. May God pave our path to renewing my work visa.
求神為Sandy工作簽證的續簽程序開路。
11. May God grant His mercy in my old parents’ financial needs, take care of them, and grant them salvation, health, peace and joy.
願神憐憫Sandy年邁父母的財務需要、看顧他們，賞賜他們救恩、健康、平安及喜樂。
12. May God watch over my brother’s family：remember their hard working and traveling, and bless their work and study.
願神看顧Sandy弟弟的家庭，記念他們的辛勤與奔波，賜福他們的工作與學業。
