Shalom, dear all!

Thank you for faithfully praying for us. Douglas had his job done in POM. He and I had a good time of fellowship with our friends in POM and other missionaries in the mission guest house there. We arrived in Reno Nevada on Saturday morning. We are thankful to God for being lifting up by people we met and a safe journey.

各位代禱勇士，收信平安。

感謝大家忠心代禱。道格拉斯在莫斯比港洽談的公事一切順利，我們在那裏和朋友以及宣教士客棧的其他宣教士們有美好的團契。星期六早上(美國時間)我們抵達內華達州的雷諾市。感謝神保守我們旅途平安，並透過相逢的人使我們獲得激勵。

Three of Douglas’ four children live in Reno. And they are all married. This is my first time to meet them, their spouses, and 11 grandchildren of Douglas. Plus Douglas’ church members and members of the mission organization, I have been seeing many new faces. Douglas’ “grandpa’s unit” that is an addition to his youngest son’s house is still under construction, waiting for several pending inspections. We are blessed with the provision of accommodation by a church couple, Dan and Bev. And we are grateful for their good will in sharing us their house where we can come and go as we need, rest well and work efficiently.

道格拉斯的四個孩子當中有三個住在雷諾，都已經成家了。這是我初次跟他們見面，加上他們的配偶、他們的十一個小孩、道格拉斯的教會朋友、以及機構成員，好多新面孔。道格拉斯在他小兒子家增建的「老爺屋」因為排等各種不同項目的安檢還沒完工，神卻在住宿的事上恩待我們，教會裡的一對夫婦丹尼爾與蓓芙琳邀我們住在他們家。真是感謝他們的善意，他們提供的住處讓我們自由進出、可以好好休息，也可以有效率地工作。

Some people wonder how I feel that I have become a grandmother of 11 without ever being a mother. Well, I think it’s a good deal that I have entered a big loving family that I had never thought of. I appreciate love and care shared with one another in this family and I am honored to become one of loving union. It was the birthday party of one of the grandsons last Sunday. Everyone except one of the sons and his wife who live in Hawaii was at the party. We had simple party food, but every room of the house and the yard was full of laughter of joy. No wonder the Bible says, “Better is a dinner of herbs where love is, than a stalled ox and hatred therewith.”

有幾個朋友問我，沒當過媽媽的我結婚之後馬上有十一個孫子感覺如何。我覺得這樣很好呀！我從來沒想過我會進入到這麼充滿愛的大家庭。我很珍惜這個家庭裡每個人彼此疼惜相愛的情誼，感到能夠成為其中的一員真是榮幸。上星期天晚上其中一個孫子過生日，除了一個兒子和媳婦住在夏威夷沒參加，其他的家庭成員都到了。派對的餐點十分簡單，沒有雞和鴨，也沒有大魚大肉，但是屋子裡的每個房間以及院子裡到處充滿愉悅的笑聲。難怪聖經說：「吃素菜而彼此相愛，勝過吃肥牛卻彼此憎恨。」

1. May God give guidance to Meni Beach Baptist Church Wewak PNG in developing the ministry of making sanitary napkins for school girls and women who newly give a birth in the hospital.
求神引導新幾內亞威瓦克濱海浸信會發展衛生巾製作的事工(用以贈送給女學生以及醫院裡剛剛生下小孩的婦女。)

2. May God give confidence and willingness to those who have received Level One sewing training in Ambunti PNG that they will all use what they have been trained for developing Dorcas fellowship in their churches, and they will be better prepared for receiving Level Two sewing training.
求神將信心及願做的心賞賜給新幾內亞安布恩提接受過第一級縫紉訓練的婦女，使她們運用所學在教會推動多加團契，也好使她們更能預備好接受第二級縫紉訓練。

3. Douglas is getting ready for the online board’s meeting of PIM that is going to take place on September 23th. May God bless their stewardship.
道格拉斯正在為九月二十三日太島宣教事工線上理監事會議做準備，願神恩待他們作好管家。

4. May God take care of my old parents, grant them salvation, health, peace and joy.
願神看顧Sandy年邁的父母，賞賜他們救恩、健康、平安及喜樂。
