Shalom, dear all!
Thank you for praying faithfully for us. The PIM school teachers finished their on-job training and most of them left in boats for the villages they work in with school supplements last Saturday. The headquarter of PIM in Ambunti serves as an aircraft carrier to the teachers who teach in 30 PIM schools along the Sepik River.
代禱勇士們，收信平安：

感謝您忠心地為我們禱告。PIM 學校的教師們結束了在職培訓，大多數人已於上週六帶著學校需用的補給品乘船返回他們工作的村莊。位於安布恩提的 PIM 總部就好像是這些在希比克河沿岸30所PIM學校任教老師們的航空母艦。

After being sick for 10 days, I was able to take a short walk after dinner yesterday (Monday). On the days I was too weak to cook, Jennifer came to our house and cooked our meals according to my step-by-step instructions. And I realize that “cooking with my mouth” is a win-win idea for both sides: I get help and she gets paid. Both of our needs get met. I think I will continue to “cook with my mouth.” Thanks to God that even my sickness could be used to make our life reach a new balance point.

病了10天之後，昨天（星期一）晚餐後我才得以出去散步一下。在我太虛無法做飯的日子裡，珍妮佛來到我們家，按照我指示的步驟做飯。我意識到「用嘴巴做飯」對雙方來說是一個雙贏的想法：我得到了幫助，她得到了報酬。我們雙方的需求都得到了滿足。我想我會繼續「用嘴巴做飯」。感謝上帝，即使我的病痛也能用來讓我們的生活達到新的平衡 

My sewing training course has a new balance, too. One year ago, there were 6 trainees. Then, one of them had a new baby last year. And this month, another got a job as a nurse in the hospital. There are now 3 and a half trainees as one of them is having heavier load of work during the week this month and I have to teacher her individually after work. It’s good that she catches up very well.    

我的縫紉培訓班也有了新的平衡。一年以前，班上有六個學員。去年，其中一位生孩子；這個月又有一位受聘為醫院的護士，現在我們班上有三個半學員。我這麼說是因為其中一位學員這個月週間的工作量大增，而大部分課程都需要我找時間個別教她，所幸她很快就跟上進度了。 

We have a great leap in learning this month: the participants are finally able to draw lines with right angles!!!! This is thrilling to me as a teacher. It took these ladies one and a half years to learn to draw lines with right angles. We should all give them a thumb up for their persistence in attending the training course. And they are learning 5 times faster than before. I thank God for letting me see His Work in them. When I first came to Ambunti in May 2022, there were 24 women attending the training course saying they had a strong desire of being good at sewing. And now, we can tell who have really persistently put efforts in what they have dreamed for. -
這個月，我們的學習有很大的躍進：學員們終於會畫直角線了!!!! 對於當老師的我而言，這真是太令人雀躍。這些婦女花了一年半時間才學會畫直角線，我們每個人都應該為她們持續堅持來上課的精神按個讚。而且，現在她們的學習速度是過去的五倍，感謝上帝讓我在她們身上看到祂的作為。2022 年 5 月我第一次來到安布恩提時，有 24 位婦女參加訓練課程，她們都說自己非常渴望好好學會縫紉。而現在，我們看到誰真的為了自己的夢想而堅持不懈地努力。

The theme of our devotion for this term is “Dreams Coming True” as we are studying Joseph’s story starting with Genesis 37. We are fascinated to learn how God trained Joseph into a prime minister in a foreign country using all different circumcises and how Joseph persisted his faithfulness to God and professional attitude no matter in high or low status. It took at least 20 years for the dreams God had given to him to come true!!! I enjoy realizing how great God is. And I enjoy realizing this with these women who persist.      
這一期，我們的靈修是從創世記37章開始讀約瑟的故事，主題是「夢想成真」。讀到上帝使用不同的處境訓練約瑟成為外邦的宰相，而約瑟不論處於尊貴或卑賤都能堅持對上帝的忠心並且持守專業的態度，我們細細讀來，不勝讚嘆。上帝賦予約瑟的夢境經過了至少20年才實現呢！我很喜愛像這樣發現上帝的偉大，而且是跟這些有所堅持的婦女們一同發現的！

1.    May God be in charge of the fuel crisis, currency policy, and economy development in PNG.
求神在新幾內亞的燃油危機、貨幣政策以及經濟發展中掌權。

2.   Due to the new banking policy of PNG, it has been taking long hours in banking work each week for PIM staff to transfer the funds and to withdraw in order to keep the ministries going. May God rule over the banking issue.  
由於新幾內亞新的銀行政策，PIM工作人員每週都要花很長時間在銀行處理資金的匯存及提領，才得以維持事工的運作。求神在銀行事務中掌權。

3.  I haven’t been able to use my PNG bank account on line for a couple months and was told my userID had been “expired”. Having been to the bank to deal with this issue, I still can’t reach my account. May God be in charge.
我已經兩個.月無發上線使用我在新幾內亞的銀行帳號，銀行說我的使用者名稱「過期」。我去過銀行申請恢復，但目前還是沒有結果。求上帝在其中掌權。

4.  With multi-duties, Douglas works day and night. May God grant he good health.
道格拉斯身兼眾多職務，日夜工作。願上帝賞賜給他健康的身體。

5.    We are going to leave Ambunti for Taiwan in the mid-February. May God grant me wisdom and strength in conducting the sewing training course in Ambunti and enable the participants to be skilled at the Level Three course before we leave.
我們將於二月中離開安布恩提，開始回台灣的路程。求上帝賞賜給Sandy智慧及力量，可以好好在安布恩提主領縫紉訓練課程。並使學員們得力，在我們出發前精通第三級縫紉課程。

6.    May our merciful God take care of my old parents, and grant them salvation, health, peace and joy.
願憐憫的上帝看顧Sandy年邁的父母，賞賜他們救恩、健康、平安及喜樂。

7.    May God watch over my brother’s family：remember their hard working and traveling, and bless their work and study.
願上帝看顧Sandy弟弟的家庭，記念他們的辛勤與奔波，賜福他們的工作與學業。
