Shalom, dear all!
Thank you for faithfully praying for us. We are staying in the mission house in Cairns, waiting for my re-entry permit to PNG. The apartment in the mission house is spacious and well facilitated. And Douglas has soon be back to the working mode. Thank God for providing us missionaries such a wonderful and affordable accommodation.

代禱勇士們，收信平安：

感謝您忠心為我們禱告。我們現在住在凱恩斯的宣教士招待所，等待我回新幾內亞的入境許可。宣教士招待所的單位房很寬敞，設備很齊全，道格拉斯很快就回復到工作模式。感謝上帝為我們宣教士預備如此美好卻又價格低廉的住宿場所。

We called the PNG Consulate in Cairns right on the day we arrive (Thursday), paid a visit to their office the next day (Friday), and was told my visa had not yet been sent to Cairns and it would not be ready before July, 30th. Sadly, our agent received an email this afternoon (Tuesday) saying that my visa needed to be reclassified that would take at least another 2 weeks. We don’t understand why since my work permit and work visa have been granted for a long time. But let’s be patient and keep praying about it. Complaining is not going to make anything any better.
我們抵達當天（星期四）就給駐凱恩斯的巴布亞新幾內亞領事館打電話，第二天（星期五）去了他們的辦公室。他們說我的簽證還沒有寄到凱恩斯，而且不到七月30日不會準備好。很遺憾，我們的代理人今天下午（星期二）收到電子郵件，說我的簽證需要「重新分類」，這至少還需要兩週。我的工作許可證和工作簽證已經通過很久了，我們不明白為什麼事情還是這個樣子。但是我們還是保持耐心並繼續祈禱吧！抱怨並不會讓事情變得更好。

Last month, through network and some help from a local friend and our PIM staff in Wewak, we arranged some fabric to be sent from Wewak to Amunti to make fabrics available in the remote villages. Besides that, we hope to set up the Sewing Resource Center in Ambunti as soon as possible. Therefore, Douglas will have to go back to PNG while I stay in Cairns and wait for my visa by myself. The mission house is available for us for 2 more days. And then, we have to find some other accommodation in Cairns for me.
上個月，透過網路以及在威瓦克當地朋友和PIM工作人員的幫助，我們安排了一些布料從威瓦克運到安布恩提，以便讓偏遠的村莊居民可以買到布料。除此之外，我們希望能盡快在安布恩提設立縫紉資源中心。因此，道格拉斯必須先返回新幾內亞，而我則留在凱恩斯等待簽證寄來。凱恩斯的宣教士招待所只能讓我們再住兩天，接下來，我們得重新找住的地方讓我在凱恩斯繼續住下來。

On the second Sunday of our staying in Osaka, the sermon given in the church was titled “God’s grace is sufficient”. This most used Christian motto was the promise granted to Apostle Paul by the Lord as Paul had pleaded 3 times with the Lord to take away the thorn in his flesh (most believed to be Paul’s eye disease).

我們在大阪停留的第二個星期天，教會的講道題目是「神的恩典夠用」。這句最常用的基督教格言是主對使徒保羅的應許，當時保羅三次懇求主除去他肉體上的刺(大多被認為是保羅的眼疾)。

According to my note taken during the sermon, the sermon giver concluded 3 of the meanings that sufferings can do for us. I wonder if the long-time delay of my visa is discipline to prevent me from being proud, a trial that leads the true benefit, or protection from evil and danger… Anyway, it’s part of the journey of pilgrim. And you are invited to walk with me through prayers. God’s grace is sufficient!
我的聽道筆記有記下，講員總結苦難能為我們帶來的三個意義。我不知道我的簽證延遲那麼久是否是免我驕傲的管教、是對我有益的試煉、還是上帝給我免遭邪惡及危險的保護……無論如何，這是天路歷程的一部分。請您在禱告中陪我一起走。神的恩典夠用！

1. Mission Aviation Fellowship is facing severe shortage of manpower, aircrafts and fuel. May God has His mercy on the great aviation needs of missionaries in PNG.
宣教飛行團契正面對人力、飛機及燃油的嚴重短缺，願上帝憐憫在新幾內亞宣教士們的大量飛行需要。

2. Due to the fuel crisis in PNG, the price of petrol has increased 2 times this month. This will hinder PIM from bringing the 50+ PIM school teachers to Ambunti by motor boat for the teachers’ on-job training in the beginning of September. May God grant the PNG government with wisdom in solving the fuel crisis.
由於新幾內亞的燃油危機，本月汽油價格上漲了兩倍。這將阻礙PIM在9月初以動力船將50多名PIM學校教師帶到安布恩提參加教師在職培訓。願上帝賜給新幾內亞政府智慧解決燃料危機。

3. Over the past year, due to the banking policy of PNG, it has been taking long hours in banking work each week for PIM staff to transfer the funds and to withdraw in order to keep the ministries going. May God rule over the banking issue.
近一年來，由於新幾內亞的銀行政策，PIM工作人員每週都要花很長時間在銀行處理資金的匯存及提領，才得以維持事工的運作。願上帝在銀行事務的難題中掌權。

4. May God give Douglas wisdom in the work of shopping in Cairns before he heads forwards to PNG.
願上帝賞賜智慧給道格拉斯，在前往新幾內亞之前有效率在凱恩斯完成採購的工作。

5. May God bless us in finding a safe, clean, and affordable accommodation in Cairns.
願上帝保守我們在凱恩斯找到安全、乾淨、價格實惠的住宿。

6. May God bless us with smooth process collecting my work visa in Cairns.
求神保守我們在凱恩斯順利領取我的工作簽證。

7. My mother is not recovering well from a fractured arm. May God heal her.
Sandy的媽媽手臂的骨折復原狀況不佳，求神醫治她。

8. May God grant His mercy in my old parents’ financial needs, take care of them, and grant them salvation, health, peace and joy.
願神憐憫Sandy年邁父母的財務需要、看顧他們，賞賜他們救恩、健康、平安及喜樂。

9. May God watch over my brother’s family：remember their hard working and traveling, and bless their work and study.
願神看顧Sandy弟弟的家庭，記念他們的辛勤與奔波，賜福他們的工作與學業。
