Shalom, dear all!
Thank you for faithfully praying for us. Though we had been prepared that I would have to stay in Cairns for few more weeks and Douglas leave Cairns for PNG before me as what my last update said, the situation had a sharp turn and God brought both us back to PNG.
代禱勇士們，收信平安：
感謝您忠心為我們禱告。Sandy的上一則代禱信說到，我們都已經有心理準備讓道格拉斯必須先返回新幾內亞，而我則留在凱恩斯至少再等待兩周。然而，情況有了急轉彎，神帶領我們兩人回到新幾內亞了。
It had been kind of a ride on the roller coaster. On July 30th, we were told that my work visa to PNG had to be reclassified. As Douglas was doing all kinds of preparation for me to stay by myself, teaching me how to take the bus, buying enough network data, food...., on July 31st, we suddenly received the notice that my re-entry permit had been approved and could be picked up in Cairns. We went to the PNG consulate August 1st and got the visa stick in my passport. We hopping on the morning flight to PNG on August 2nd, being delayed one day in POM due to flight cancelation, we arrived at Wewak on August 3rd. Thank God for His perfect timing as the mission house in Cairns is available for us only until the morning of August 2nd. Leaving Cairns on that day saves us money to stay in a hotel and time packing and unpacking. And we are amazed by God's wonderful way of blessing His people.
就像坐雲霄飛車。 七月30日，我們被告知我去新幾內亞的工作簽證必須“重新分類”。 七月31日，就在道格拉斯為我一個人獨留做各種準備，教我怎麼坐公車，買足夠的網路流量，食物…的時候，我們突然收到了我回新幾內亞入境許可已獲批的通知，可以在凱恩斯領取簽證。 我們八月1日去了新幾內亞領事館，讓簽證貼在我的護照上。八月2日 我們搭乘早上的班機飛往新幾內亞。因班機取消的因素，我們在新幾內亞首都莫斯比港留一天，八月3日早上抵達威瓦克。 感謝上帝美好的時刻，凱恩斯的宣教士招待所剛好只能讓我們住到八月2日早上。 當天早上離開凱恩斯可以節省我們住飯店的錢和再次開箱又打包行李的時間。 我們也再次讚嘆神祝福祂子民的行事奇妙。
The flight cancelation reminded us again that we should keep praying for the fuel crisis, currency policy, and economy development in PNG: The slow development of industry in PNG cause the server lack of foreign currency for PNG to import sufficient fuel. And the fuel crisis caused massive flight cancelations and many other social issues. After checking in our luggage in POM, we didn't get our boarding passes until the airline had confirmed the fuel the plane carried was enough for taking us to Wewak. As you can see in one of the pictures, the plane was quite vacant. It was not the number of the seats but the amount of the fuel that decided how many passengers were able to hop on the plane.
班機的取消再次提醒我們要持續為新幾內亞的燃油危機、貨幣政策以及經濟發展禱告：新幾內亞的產業發展遲緩造成所持外幣不足夠買所需燃油，燃油危機又造成大量班機取消以及很多社會問題。在首都莫斯比港，托運行李手續辦好後，等到航空公司確認飛機攜帶的燃油足以帶我們前往威瓦克，我們才拿到登機證。 正如您在其中一張照片中看到的那樣，飛機上非常空。 決定有多少乘客能夠登上飛機的不是座位數量，而是燃油。
We supposed our journey was completed for now, and started doing some shopping in Wewak for setting up the Ambunti Sewing Resource Center and for some groceries that we were going to need in the remote area. Yesterday (Monday) we received the medical report from the clinic in Carins saying that the doctor suggested Douglas go back and had further clean out of the mole. (The medical check done last month should have been done last year, but Douglas was far too busy when he was in the US last year and earlier this year.) Therefore, Doulas is taking a rushing trip to Cairns tomorrow. I am going to wait for him in Wewak or intensive travel might make be ill. And we are looking forward to both going back to Ambunti next week.
我們想說旅程暫時結束了，已經在威瓦克進行採買，用以建立安部恩提縫紉資源中心，並購買一些我們在偏遠地區將需要的生活用品。昨天我們收到凱恩斯診所的報告，醫師建議道格拉斯回診所把痣點切除更乾淨一些。(這個檢查去年就該做了，但是道格拉斯去年及今年稍早回美國時都太忙碌了，拖到上個月在凱恩斯才檢查) 這麼一來，道格拉斯明天(星期三)又得匆匆趕到凱恩斯。擔心密集的旅程會讓我身體吃不消，我將留在威瓦克等他。希望我們下周兩人可以一起回安布恩提。

2. Mission Aviation Fellowship is facing severe shortage of manpower, aircrafts and fuel. May God has His mercy on the great aviation needs of missionaries in PNG.
宣教飛行團契正面對人力、飛機及燃油的嚴重短缺，願上帝憐憫在新幾內亞宣教士們的大量飛行需要。
3. Due to the fuel crisis in PNG, the price of petrol has increased 2 times recently. And it is even not available for ordinary people. This will hinder PIM from bringing the 50+ PIM school teachers to Ambunti by motor boat for the teachers’ on-job training in the beginning of September. May God .
由於新幾內亞的燃油危機，汽油價格近來上漲了兩倍，甚至是一般人買也買不到。這將阻礙PIM在9月初以動力船將50多名PIM學校教師帶到安布恩提參加教師在職培訓。願上帝賜給新幾內亞政府智慧解決燃料危機。
4. Over the past year, due to the banking policy of PNG, it has been taking long hours in banking work each week for PIM staff to transfer the funds and to withdraw in order to keep the ministries going. May God rule over the banking issue.
近一年來，由於新幾內亞的銀行政策，PIM工作人員每週都要花很長時間在銀行處理資金的匯存及提領，才得以維持事工的運作。願上帝在銀行事務的難題中掌權。
5. With multi-duties, Douglas works day and night. May God grant he good health.
道格拉斯身兼眾多職務，日夜工作。願上帝賞賜給他健康的身體。
6. My God bless Douglas’ journey Wewak-POM-Cairns and back.
願神保守道格拉斯從威瓦克經莫斯比港到凱恩斯的旅途及回程平安。

10. May God watch over my brother’s family：remember their hard working and traveling, and bless their work and study.
願神看顧Sandy弟弟的家庭，記念他們的辛勤與奔波，賜福他們的工作與學業。
