Shalom, dear all!
Thank you for faithfully praying for us. We have had a good time in Osaka Japan. We have not stuff our days with lots of tourist activities. Douglas has not been working with the computer. And therefore, I can totally relax, too. This is our first non-working vacation since we got married in August 2022. And I will not complain anymore that we didn’t have a real honeymoon. Thank God for His kindness that we are able to make the trip to Japan and stay for two weeks while we are waiting for my re-entry permit to PNG.

代禱勇士們，收信平安：

感謝您忠心為我們禱告。我們在日本大阪很開心。我們沒有安排很多觀光行程。道格拉斯沒有拿出電腦卯起來工作。因此，我也可以完全放鬆。這是我們2022年8月結婚以來的第一個沒工作的純假期。我再也不會抱怨當初沒好好度蜜月了。感謝上帝的仁慈，讓我們能夠在等待新幾內亞再入境許可期間到日本住兩個星期。

On the day we left the USA 2 weeks ago, we received some further good news about my visa situation. My re-entry permit had been granted and our agent had applied that the immigration sends my visa to the PNG consulate in Cairns Australia. And yesterday, we got the notification that we are supposed to Cairns for my visa. We are to leave Osaka tomorrow (Wednesday), via Tokyo, and arrive in Cairns tomorrow morning (Thursday). We don’t know yet how “ready” my visa is for us to fetch, but we are happy that there is some progress.
兩週前我們離開美國的那天，我們收到了有關我的簽證情況的進一步好消息。我的再入境許可已獲得批准，我們的代理人已申請由移民局將我的簽證寄至澳洲凱恩斯的新幾內亞領事館。昨天，我們收到通知說我們應該去凱恩斯接洽我的簽證事宜。我們將於明天（週三）從大阪出發，經東京，明天（週四）抵達凱恩斯。我們還不知道我的簽證到底已經「好」到哪一個階段了，但我們很高興終於有一些進展。

In Cairns, we are going to deal with my visa, have Douglas visit a dermatologist, and do some shopping for mission. Hopefully, we will be able to arrive in PNG by the beginning of August.
在凱恩斯，我們將處理我的簽證，道格拉斯要去看皮膚科醫生，並完成一些差會的採購任務。希望我們能夠在八月初抵達新幾內亞。

1. Mission Aviation Fellowship is facing severe shortage of manpower, aircrafts and fuel. May God has His mercy on the great aviation needs of missionaries in PNG.
宣教飛行團契正面對人力、飛機及燃油的嚴重短缺，願上帝憐憫在新幾內亞宣教士們的大量飛行需要。

2. Due to the fuel crisis in PNG, the price of petrol has increased 2 times this month. This will hinder PIM from bringing the 50+ PIM school teachers to Ambunti by motor boat for the teachers’ on-job training in the beginning of September. May God grant the PNG government with wisdom in solving the fuel crisis.
由於新幾內亞的燃油危機，本月汽油價格上漲了兩倍。這將阻礙PIM在9月初以動力船將50多名PIM學校教師帶到安布恩提參加教師在職培訓。願上帝賜給新幾內亞政府智慧解決燃料危機。

3. Over the past year, due to the banking policy of PNG, it has been taking long hours in banking work each week for PIM staff to transfer the funds and to withdraw in order to keep the ministries going. May God rule over the banking issue.
近一年來，由於新幾內亞的銀行政策，PIM工作人員每週都要花很長時間在銀行處理資金的匯存及提領，才得以維持事工的運作。願上帝在銀行事務的難題中掌權。

4. May God grant wisdom and patience to the trained women in the sewing training course in developing the sewing ministries of Dorcas Fellowship in the local churches.
求神保守在縫紉訓練課程受訓的學員，讓她們有智慧及耐心在當地發展多加團契縫紉事工。

5. May God bless us with smooth process collecting my work visa in Cairns.
求神保守我們在凱恩斯順利領取我的工作簽證。

6. My mother is not recovering well from a fractured arm. May God heal her.
Sandy的媽媽手臂的骨折復原狀況不佳，求神醫治她。

7. May God grant His mercy in my old parents’ financial needs, take care of them, and grant them salvation, health, peace and joy.
願神憐憫Sandy年邁父母的財務需要、看顧他們，賞賜他們救恩、健康、平安及喜樂。

8. May God watch over my brother’s family：remember their hard working and traveling, and bless their work and study.
願神看顧Sandy弟弟的家庭，記念他們的辛勤與奔波，賜福他們的工作與學業。
