Shalom, dear all!
Thank you for praying faithfully for us. The participants in the training course are more and more confident in making patterns and are excited in learning new sewing skills that can be also applied for making shirts in the future. They have started taking measurements for other women and making patterns for them.

感謝您忠心地為我們禱告。培訓課程的學員對製作版型越來越有信心。學習到新的縫紉技巧，大家都很興奮。這些技巧將來也可以應用於製作襯衫。她們也開始為其他婦女量身，好為大家製作版型。

Quite a few women, especially elementary school teachers would like to sign up for our future training course. They will be very different tranees from the present ones. We would like to pray more about the direction of the future training course. If we continue accepting participants with low education, we are to help elevate those who struggle in making a living but with strong determinations though there are many struggling but very few with strong determinations. If we train elementary school teachers, we will make magnificent impact the way teachers teach in the school.   
有不少婦女，特別是小學教師，都想要報名參加我們以後要開的培訓課程。她們與現在的學員截然不同性質。我們還是要為未來培訓課程的方向多多禱告。如果我們繼續招收教育程度低的學員，可以幫助提升那些維生困難但是有很大決心學習的人，儘管維生困難的人很多、有決心學習的人少之又少。如果我們讓小學老師來受訓，即可預期會對學校老師的教學方式造成很大的影響。

We have finished our Bible study on Joseph’s story. And we have been all benefitted by what we have learned from our Bible study in dealing with some recent relationship issues. We are all impressed by the fact of Joseph’s being aware that he was not God and not letting evil stop him from doing good. We also learned that true forgiveness is not to twist right and wrong, but to acknowledge that : God makes me forget my pain, God makes me prosper in difficulties, God has His good plan even over people’s evil desires, we are not God, and God has His good purpose in everything and everyone. Thanks to God for His beautiful work upon His people.   
靈修部份，我們已經完成了約瑟故事的查經。從查經中學到的功課使我們受益匪淺，大大幫助我們處理最近發生的一些人際關係問題。約瑟清楚意識自己不是上帝，也沒有讓邪惡阻止他行善，這件事令人刻骨銘心。我們也了解到，真正的饒恕不是扭曲是非，而是體認：上帝讓我忘記痛苦、上帝讓我在困難中繁榮昌盛、甚至在人們的邪惡慾望裡上帝都有祂的美好計劃、我們不是上帝、上帝對每件事及每個人都有祂的美好旨意。感謝上帝在祂的子民身上有美善的作為。

Thanks to God for His abundant provision. We have six industrial sewing machines in the classroom now. These machines will not be only used for the training course but also for other women to rent, paying only for the cost of operating the generator or even lower than that.      

 
感謝上帝的豐富供給。我們教室裡現在有六台工業縫紉機。這些機器不僅用於培訓課程，還可供其他婦女租用，僅支付不高於運作發電機的費用。

Douglas and I are extremely busy this week since we are leaving Ambunti on the 17th. There are still a lot of work that we need to complete before we leave. Especially I am writing in tok pisin all the steps of making the patterns, and Douglas is dealing with a lot of construction work.   

 
道格拉斯和我這週非常忙碌，因為我們將於 17 日離開安布恩提。在我們離開之前，還有很多工作要完成。特別是我正在用濱涇語寫下製作版型的所有步驟，而道格拉斯正在處理多處施工的工作。

The new school year started this month very slowly. Many students are waiting for their teachers to come back. Some teachers haven’t gone back to work because they have to take their children to the boarding school and wait for their children’s teachers to come back to work. This is also time that parents have a big headache with the school fee. Education is free in the public schools. But schools charge the students for school projects and places.    

 
新的學年本月〝徐徐〞展開。許多學生正在等待老師回來上課。有些老師還沒有回去工作，因為他們要把自己孩子送到寄宿學校，並陪孩子等待孩子的老師回來上班。這也是家長們為著學費頭痛不已的時候。公立學校的教育是免費的。但是學校會向學生收取學校建案和招生名額的費用。

Ambunti High School that had been shut down due to fights for more than half a year restarted this week. This is something encouraging. We are happy to see students row their canoes to Ambunti from nearby villages. Without Ambunti High School, parents have to spend many times of fee on boarding schools in the cities. We are praying very hard for the peace and safety in the school area. And we need you to pray with us.
因鬥毆問題而關閉半年多的安布恩提中學本週重新開學。這是令人鼓舞的一件事。我們很高興看到學生們從附近的村莊划獨木舟來到安布恩提。如果沒有安布恩提中學，家長就必須花費數倍的學費讓孩子上城裡的寄宿學校。我們虔誠地為學校週邊的和平與安全禱告。希望您和我們一起祈禱。

1.    May God be in charge of the fuel crisis, currency policy, and economy development in PNG.
求神在新幾內亞的燃油危機、貨幣政策以及經濟發展中掌權。

2.   Due to the new banking policy of PNG, it has been taking long hours in banking work each week for PIM staff to transfer the funds and to withdraw in order to keep the ministries going. May God rule over the banking issue.  
由於新幾內亞新的銀行政策，PIM工作人員每週都要花很長時間在銀行處理資金的匯存及提領，才得以維持事工的運作。求神在銀行事務中掌權。

3.    May God grant His Divine protection to Ambunti High School.  
求上帝賞賜屬天的保護給安布恩提中學。

4.    May God grant His Divine guidance in further direction of Dorcas Ministry of PIM (training sewing teachers for churches).  
求上帝指引我們PIM多加事工(訓練縫紉教師以協助教會外展事工)進一步的走向。

5.    I haven’t been able to use my PNG bank account on line for a couple months and was told my userID had been “expired”. Having been to the bank to deal with this issue, I still can’t reach my account. May God be in charge.
我已經三個月無法上線使用我在新幾內亞的銀行帳號，銀行說我的使用者名稱「過期」。我去過銀行申請恢復，但目前還是沒有結果。求上帝在其中掌權。

6.    Douglas and I are going to leave Ambunti and start our journey to Taiwan on February 17th. May God grant us wisdom and strength to finish the must tasks before we leave, and safe flight from Ambunti to Wewak.
我和道格拉斯將於2月17日離開安布恩提，開始前往台灣的旅程。願上帝賜給我們智慧和力量，讓我們在離開前完成必須的代辦事項；並保守我們從安布恩提到威瓦克飛行平安。

7.    May our merciful God take care of my old parents, and grant them salvation, health, peace and joy.
願憐憫的上帝看顧Sandy年邁的父母，賞賜他們救恩、健康、平安及喜樂。

8.    May God watch over my brother’s family：remember their hard working and traveling, and bless their work and study.
願上帝看顧Sandy弟弟的家庭，記念他們的辛勤與奔波，賜福他們的工作與學業。
