Shalom, dear all!
Thank you for faithfully praying for us. Douglas and I finally arrived in Ambunti last Thursday.
代禱勇士們，收信平安：
感謝你忠心地為我們禱告。道格拉斯和我上星期四終於回到安布恩提。

But repeating the tiring job of packing and unpacking when we were stuck in Wewak, both of us get sick. Especially, I am having a fever and have to cancel my sewing class today.
但是困在威瓦克期間，重複地打包又拆行李很是繁重，我們兩個人都生病了。尤其我正在發燒，今天的縫紉課得取消。

Most PIM school teachers have finished their on-job training and returned to the villages they serve in. Only those who attend writing class are still in Ambunti.
大部分的PIM學校教師已經上完他們的在職訓練課程，並回到他們服務的村莊。只有參加寫作課的人現在還在安布恩提。

New school year just started. Parents are facing heavy financial burden. It is so called free education. But students are charged quite a lot of money for the school building projects. Moreover, most church pastors are not paid salary. They have to struggle even more.
新的學年剛剛開始。為人父母的要面對財務的重擔。雖說是免費教育，公立學校還是會向學生收取建案費用。尤其這裡大部分教會的傳道人都領不到薪水，他們就更辛苦了！

In this time of the year, fights between villages happen quite often. In several villages, people have been killed, houses have been burned down, and people escaped from their homes. Even some missionaries have to withdraw. Villagers tend to sort out their fights in their traditional way and the police cannot interfere until the fights lose control and the villagers decide to call the police. We were especially concerned about the fights in the village called Dangunjam. Not only there is a PIM school, but also quite a few PIM staff who work in Ambunti headquarter are from Dangunjam. We hope they have good testimony when dealing with the matter that their relatives get hurt, killed or homeless.
每年的這個時候，村落中的打鬥特別多。有幾個村子已經有人被殺，房子被燒，村民逃離自己的家，連宣教士有些也得撤退。村民們總是先採用「傳統」方式解決他們之間的糾紛，這時警察不能介入。直到事件發展到不可收拾時，村民才會報警，讓公權力介入。我們特別擔心一個叫做當格將的村子所發生的打鬥。那裏不但有PIM小學，安布恩提總部好幾個工作人員也是從那裏出來的。希望他們在面對親戚被傷、被殺，以及無家可歸的時候，他們能有好的見證。

1. May God give wisdom to the government of PNG in dealing with the aftermath of the riot that happened on January 10th.
願上帝賜下智慧給新幾內亞的政府以處理一月10日暴動的後續問題。

2. May God cease the fights among villages and grand us His Spirit of Peace.
願上帝止息村落中的打鬥，賜下和平的靈。

3. PIM has been having a project with The Education Department of PNG, distributing 100,000 copies of religious education textbooks to high schools in all provinces in PNG. May God bless the big job of distribution.
PIM與新幾內亞教育部已經展開合作方案，發送十萬份宗教教育教科書到各省的公立中學。求神保守此龐大的分發工作。

4. MAF (Mission Aviation Fellowship) has had three accidents last year. They are elevating the standard of requirements to the airstrips in the villages. May God bless them in enforcing their new regulation.
MAF（宣教飛行團契）去年發生了三起事故。他們正在提高各村莊裡飛機跑道的要求標準。願上帝保守他們執行新的規定。

5. Due to poor quality and humid climate, more than half of my students in the sewing class don’t have their sewing machines that function properly. It is not appropriate to let them borrow our machines all the time. And they can’t afford to have sewing machines like what I have. May God give me wisdom in helping them.
一來是品質低劣，加上氣候潮濕，縫紉班有一半以上的學員自己的縫紉機都不能用了。我們不能總是讓他們來借縫紉機，我使用的縫紉機他們也買不起。求神給我智慧想想辦法幫助他們。

6. May God make us recover from our flu soon.
願上帝醫治我們的感冒，使我們快快復原。

7. May God remember Douglas’ hard working and bless him with good health.
願上帝記念道格拉斯的工作辛勞，保守他有健康的身體。

8. We have heard bad news about my work visa renewing process. It seems what we have worked on it over the months is in vain. May God pave our path to renewing my work visa.
我們得知工作簽證的結果是壞消息，好幾個月的努力似乎是白費了。求神為Sandy工作簽證的續簽程序開路。

9. May God grant His mercy in my old parents’ financial needs, take care of them, and grant them salvation, health, peace and joy.
願神憐憫Sandy年邁父母的財務需要、看顧他們，賞賜他們救恩、健康、平安及喜樂。

10. May God watch over my brother’s family：remember their hard working and traveling, and bless their work and study.
願神看顧Sandy弟弟的家庭，記念他們的辛勤與奔波，賜福他們的工作與學業。
