Shalom, dear all!.
Thank you for praying faithfully for us. My sickness was over last weekend. I got enough rest in Wewak and was able to get through the bumpy journey. We arrived safely in Ambunti on the sixth.
代禱勇士們，收信平安：

感謝你忠心地為我們禱告。上個周末我的生病痊癒，且在威瓦克得到了足夠的休息，能夠安度顛簸的旅程。我們於6日順利抵達安布恩提。 

Douglas and I move around quite often. When we were in Taiwan, it took us a lot of effort dealing with the moldy and rusty house. When we were in Wewak, we spent four days washing clothes that we had stored in the suitcases while we had been away. Now, we are dealing with a lot of damages caused by termites in Ambunti. Our sweet homes take us sweet challenges that train us to become more and more flexible and better and better at communication. It is very important for us missionaries.
我和道格拉斯頻繁遷徙。當我們在臺灣時，我們花了很多精力來處理發黴生鏽的房子。當我們在韋瓦克時，我們花了四天時間清洗我們外出時存放在行李箱裡的衣服。現在，我們正在安布恩提處理白蟻造成的大量損害。我們的甜蜜家園給我們這些甜蜜的挑戰，訓練我們變得越來越有彈性，也越來越懂得溝通。這對我們宣教士而言是很重要的。

Before we left Ambunti at the end of September, I set up staff who were to handle the service with sewing resources in Ambunti area. During the past 3 and a half months, these staff had some difficulties working together. Thank God that, through these difficulties, they have learned to appreciate emotion management and psychological boundaries that we learned from the Bible at our devotion in 2024. They also learn to become more and more trustworthy.

 
在我們 9 月底離開安布恩提之前，我安排了工作人員，讓他們負責處理安布恩提地區的縫紉資源。在過去的 3 個半月裡，這些工作人員在合作時遇到了一些困難。感謝神，通過這些困難，他們重溫我們在 2024年的靈修中從聖經學到的情緒管理和心理界限，也學習讓自己更值得信任。

Last year, I had similar good experience with my parents, too. We Taiwanese people are traditionally taught that parents are always right. And children should accept what parents do to them and practice what parents expect them to do. Recently, my father regretted what he had done wrong to me and I told him that he should be aware that some words can be hard to withdrawn once they are out of the mouth. It is rare in a Taiwanese family, but letting my parents know what I don’t like them to do to me did not break up our relationship. Instead, it makes them trust me even more.  

 
去年我和我的父母也有類似的好經歷。我們臺灣人傳統上被教導父母永遠是對的。孩子應該全然接受父母對他們的作為，並實踐父母期望他們做的事情。最近，我父親對他對我做錯的事表達悔意，我則告訴他要小心，有些話一旦從嘴裡說出來就很難撤回。這在台灣人的家庭是十分罕見的，然而，讓父母知道我不喜歡他們怎麼對待我並沒有破壞我們的關係，反而使他們更加信任我。

But, does it mean that we should abandon the tradition? How can we not overdo it? Well, The freedom of the birds is in the air, the vast land of the fish is in the water, and of man in the Word of God. 

 
然而，我們真的要捨棄傳統嗎？怎樣才不會過猶不及呢？鳥兒的自由範圍在空中，魚兒的寬廣之地在水中，人的自由之地在上帝的話語裡面。

1.   May God be in charge of the fuel crisis, currency policy, and economy development in PNG.
求神在新幾內亞的燃油危機、貨幣政策以及經濟發展中掌權。

2.  The elevation of fuel price and unavailability of fuel have significantly affected our ministries in PNG. There is supposed to be a couple weeks of training for all PIM school teachers this month in Ambunti. If we fail to buy enough fuel, the PIM boats won’t be able to get the teachers to come for the training. But May God grant us His sufficiency to us.
燃料價格的上漲和燃料的供缺嚴重影響了我們在新幾內亞的事工。這個月在安布恩提要舉行為期兩周的PIM學校教師在職訓練，如果我們買不到足夠的燃油，PIM的船隻將無法把所有的教師接來受訓。求神供應。

3.   Due to the new banking policy of PNG, it has been taking long hours in banking work each week for PIM staff to transfer the funds and to withdraw in order to keep the ministries going. May God rule over the banking issue.  
由於新幾內亞新的銀行政策，PIM工作人員每週都要花很長時間在銀行處理資金的匯存及提領，才得以維持事工的運作。求神在銀行事務中掌權。

4.  and night. May God grant he good health.
道格拉斯身兼眾多職務，日夜工作。願上帝賞賜給他健康的身體。

5.  A few women from other areas have been coming and attending sewing classes in SSEC Church in Ambunti. Recently, Beverlyn, the pastor’s wife of SSEC, and Jennifer has been requested to go to their villages and give classes there. We are happy to see our trainees become blessings to other areas. May God grant His divine protection and pave their way to extend the sewing ministry.
有一些來自其他地區的婦女持續到安布恩提的SSEC教會參加縫紉課。最近她們有在邀請SSEC的教會師母貝芙琳和珍妮芙姐妹去她們的部落開課。我們也樂見我們的學員能夠嘉惠其他地區。求上帝賞賜屬天的保護，並且為她們拓展縫紉事工開路。

6.   May our merciful God take care of my old parents, and grant them salvation, health, peace and joy.
願憐憫的上帝看顧Sandy年邁父母，賞賜他們救恩、健康、平安及喜樂。

7.   May God watch over my brother’s family：remember their hard working and traveling, and bless their work and study.
願上帝看顧Sandy弟弟的家庭，記念他們的辛勤與奔波，賜福他們的工作與學業。
